Summary
Writer Crowley (aka DemonsEden) signed up for the Third Annual Jane Austen Winter Bang event, and was partnered with GuideAndGuardian, an artist whose work he's admired for years. Over the course of the event they became close, and when the mods decided to host an in-person retreat at a country house over the final weekend, culminating with a Regency ball on Christmas Eve, he just couldn't resist the urge to join, in spite of his misgivings about both the event and what might happen when he finally met his partner. For the first day everyone is anonymous, mingling and getting to know one another without knowing who their partner might be— and Crowley manages to get off on the wrong foot immediately with an artist called Aziraphale, an anachronism in waistcoat and bow tie too priggish and entirely too attractive for his own good.
No one could possibly predict what happens next.
