Work Text:
Leonhart had woken up early, and Sariphi followed him to the balcony, as the sun started to rise above the horizon. The kingdom of Ozmargo wasn't awake yet, so it was just the two of them for now.
"It's almost peaceful, at this time of day, isn't it?" Sariphi asked, standing close to Leonhart, his form soft and warm next to her.
Leonhart nodded, slowly but surely. "Yes, indeed it is, I like to wake up before the kingdom does, before my subjects awaken." His low voice was heavy, almost as if feeling the weight of a king on his shoulders.
Sariphi hummed in agreement. "I understand, as I like to see the colors of the sunlight before a new day arrives, or even before, like right now."
"I guess we both can agree on that, Sariphi." Leonhart replied, letting his arm pull her close to him.
"That's good to know," Sariphi closed her eyes, his fur soft and his claws gentle, careful not to hurt her. "Oh, maybe we can watch the sunrise more often, tomorrow perhaps."
"I'd like that." Leonhart answered, smiling.
Sariphi smiled back at him; she opened her eyes to watch the sun with Leonhart, as his queen.
