Summary
The Overlook Hotel had always been full of ghosts. Dick Hallorann grew used to them, learned to ignore them, to shield himself with the Shining his grandmother had passed down to him. But the Shining doesn't help when what comes for you isn't a ghost.
He appears in the Gold Room — tall, red-haired, in an immaculate suit, with eyes the color of amber. Smiles too wide. And says: "Did you miss me, Dickie?"
