Chapter Text
Jon watched Elias’ form disappear, body growing smaller and smaller as he ascended the steps to the rest of the Institute.
He smiled softly to himself, remembering the caring hand Elias had put on his shoulder as he complemented Jon’s work.
Jonathan Sims respects his boss. Nothing more, nothing less.
He knows the respect is mutual, and enjoys that Elias trusts him. Tim was just crazy, pointing out things that weren’t there.
“Getting real cozy with the big boss, huh?” He grinned lazily, sitting on top of Jon’s desk and scattering all his things.
Jon refused to answer, and scoffed lightly. “So uptight, Jon! As if you’d be upset.” Tim continued on.
“Excuse me? There is only the normal amount of respect between Elias and I, maybe something you’d get if you actually did your work instead of gossiping with coworkers.” Jon spat.
Tim only laughed. “Get that stick out of your ass, geez.” Jon didn’t respond. Growing bored, Tim thankfully left the desk.
God forbid the head of institute come down to see how his institute is running! Jon didn’t think about how Elias only stopped by his desk, he probably checked in with the other researchers earlier.
The day dragged on, but slowly the pile of papers on Jon’s desk got smaller. He worked until late, barely noticing every blink getting longer.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Jon failed to register the click and clack of Elias’ dress shoes.
Jon felt Elias before he heard him. The older man’s presence always affected him, Jon could almost feel his heart beat faster, his mind just that bit more alert. To make sure he doesn’t embarrass himself of course.
“Jonathan?” Elias called out, his smirk almost audible in his voice.
Jon looked up and Elias met his gaze, amused.
“Elias, I-“ Jon began, panicked and embarrassed. “I thought we had talked about working this late, Jon.” Elias scolded, walking to the desk.
Jon had gotten up, only having to tip his head ever slightly to look Elias in the eye.
Not that he did, of course. No, Jon’s gaze was set on the increasingly interesting grooves on his desk.
Embarrassed at Elias’ tone and the fact that they did in fact speak of this exact thing, Jon couldn’t face him properly.
He was not quite unlike a child caught in the wrong.
“Look at me, Jon.” Elias’ voice was gentler now, devoid of any harshness.
Jon couldn’t disobey if he tried.
He gave in and looked him in the eye, and was rewarded with a smile.
“I’m- I’m sorry, for working so late, it won’t happen again, I swear.” Came out the tumbled apology, no doubt very similar to the one that came before and the one before that.
Elias nodded, “Do not apologize, Jon. It is for you and your health that make me want you to keep better hours.” he said. “Now, with that settled, do you have a ride?” Elias asked him.
Jon looked at him, confused. “Well, yes, the Tube.”
Elias’ eyebrows furrowed. “Jon, it is very late, surely you don’t intend to brave the Tube alone now? Especially in your condition, you are an inch away from falling asleep on your desk.” He said sharply, but not unkindly.
Jon scoffed, “Please, Elias, I can handle the blasted Tube. It’s not that serious.”
“Nevertheless, let me escort you home. I couldn’t sleep well knowing my best researcher was possibly in danger.” Elias insisted, eyes twinkling.
What was the worst that could happen?
“Well...alright, thank you.” Jon relented, picking up his raggedy bag.
Elias, ever the gentleman, helped Jon into his coat.
If Jon blushed, that was his business only. He certainly did not lean into the warmness of Elias’ hands, nor the strong line of his shoulders as he fastened the coat around him.
“Wait for me in the parking lot, I am afraid I have just one more matter to attend to before leaving.” Elias spoke in Jon’s ear, the both of them staying close even after Jon’s coat was rightly situated.
It was cold, Elias simply did not want to leave the heat of another just yet. That’s all it was, and ever could be. It didn't matter who it was, and it definitely had nothing to do with it being Jon against him.
Sort of dazed, Jon nodded. “Take your time.” He mumbled like an idiot. Mourning the loss of contact silently and immediately, Jon watched Elias straighten and walk off, taking the elevator instead of the stairs up.
Jon sorted himself, grimacing at the pain in his neck and back.
He walked across the Institute to the parking lot, spotting a sleek, black car.
Seeing as it was the only one there, it must be Elias’. Should he stand by it? Get in? Or just wait by the door like he is now?
Jon didn’t move for a while, looking at the sky, dark and cloudless. It was freezing, and he pulled his coat tighter around himself.
Doing so, he caught a bit of Elias’ cologne, residual from earlier.
Jon straightened almost instantly to get more. It didn’t matter, the scent had since been blown away with the wind.
Jon checked his watch to distract himself, seeing it was 14 minutes past midnight. He hadn’t realized just how late it really was.
“Jon?” Elias asked, opening the door behind him.
Jon turned around quickly to face him. “Shall we?” Elias continued on, making Jon nod.
The man beside him smiled and led the way to the car, holding Jon’s waist to guide him.
To Jon’s credit, it was entirely too cold outside to care about such actions.
“Thank you again for this, truly.” Jon said, allowing Elias to open the door for him.
“No need, Jon. I am happy to do this.” Elias replied warmly, now situated in the driver's seat.
The car started and Elias began driving. Jon looked out the window, avoiding having to think about who is next to him.
He plays with a loose string on his bag, trying and failing to suppress thoughts definitely not appropriate to have the head of the institute in them.
Jon pressed his thighs tighter, balling up his fists in his coat.
The pitiful attempt at friction was a failure, and Jon wondered if it was worth it to jump out.
It was cold in the car, Jon focused on that fact. He shivered, and pressed closer to his seat. Well, Elias’ seat.
Elias looked over to Jon, eyes crinkling in amusement as he realized both of Jon’s predicaments.
“Do you want me to turn on the heater, Jon? I can feel you shivering, and I will not stand you being anything less than completely comfortable.” Elias asked, hand on Jon’s thigh and attentive grey eyes locked on him.
Jon looked up at him, eyes wider and face noticeably flushed. “I would like that, yes.” The younger man replied quietly, willing with every bone in his body to not squeeze his thighs together again.
Elias turned it on, then returned his hand to Jon’s thigh. No mention was made of this. Jon swallowed thickly.
His mind was spinning, Jon was afraid to breathe. Who knows what would happened if he moved an inch? Would Elias’ hand go higher? Or worse, move away entirely?
Jon hoped and was tempted to even pray for the prior.
He looked over to Elias, who was seemingly not affected at all.
Of course, appearances are deceiving and Elias was in fact a second away from reaching lower and fixing Jon’s situation instantly.
But the car could crash, and all his plans would be postponed for months. So, Elias was patient, contenting himself with his eyes and kept his hand still.
Jon was oblivious to this, and was desperate for any more scraps of attention or affection.
They hit a red light, and the car stopped as they waited for it to turn green.
“Did you get much done today, Jon? I’m afraid I disrupted your work flow this afternoon.” Elias asked, looking at him warmly.
Jon laughed genuinely. “Really? Don’t be, I quite enjoy your visits to my desk. I did get all my work done today, yes.” He replied, basking in the glow of Elias’ smile.
“Well, I am happy to know that, Jon. Are you still tired? We are nearing your home.” Elias said, taking his hand off Jon's thigh and returning it to the steering wheel.
Jon had gotten used to the steady weight of the hand on him and watched in dismay as it regained its place. Not answering Elias, he just stared at it and entirely forgot a question was asked.
The car started again, “Jon?” Elias spoke, eyes on the road. The man in question blinked and got out of his trance, and asked “Pardon?”
Elias laughed, a smirk tugging on his lips. “I suppose you are in more need of sleep than I thought.” Jon’s cheeks burned and he looked away, rolling his eyes.
The older man pulled into Jon’s street, and by no time they were in front of Jon’s flat.
“This is your stop, yes?” Elias inquired, looking over to Jon as he parked. “Yes, I cannot begin to thank-“ Jon started and Elias cut him off quickly.
“Jonathan, I enjoyed driving you to your home, there is no need.” The man beside him reminded gently, quickly getting out of the car and opening Jon’s door.
Jon accepted the hand offered, and was pulled up flush against Elias, the now closed door at his back.
It was puzzling how easy it was to get lost in that man’s eyes. The both of them stood there, inches away now and only just now realizing it.
Jon’s gaze flicked down, and back up again. “Elias?” He murmured, breathless.
“Goodnight Jon.” The older answered, a smirk on those infuriating lips.
Elias tried to pull away, but Jon held his hand tighter.
Elias looked back, a question in his eyes and his eyebrow arched. Jon pulled him back, pressing Elias to the door for a change.
“Jonathan?” Elias asked softly, his hand on Jon’s waist for the second time that night.
“Can I kiss you?” Jon all but begged, they were barely an inch apart. “If you would like.” Elias smirked, and was shut up by Jon’s insistent lips on his.
Heat exploded between them and Jon grabbed onto the other man’s lapel, gasping as Elias pushed a leg between the younger’s thighs.
Elias groaned into the kiss, cursing as he heard Jon’s whines.
Jon put up no resistance as Elias demanded entry to his mouth, opening easily for him. Jon moaned into the kiss, muffled by Elias’ exploration of his mouth.
Elias bit Jon’s lip, making the younger cry out and push against him. Slotting them together quite neatly. Very quickly making use of the position, Jon started grinding down wantonly.
Elias pulled away, and was met with an instant complaint.
The older man smirked as he tilted the younger’s chin, his pupils blown out and his mouth emitting such delicious noises.
“Aren’t you a pretty picture? Words, Jonathan. I’m afraid I cannot speak in whines and I can stop this quite easily.” Elias whispered in his ear, pressing a kiss to Jon’s neck and rocking up.
The man below him gasped, letting out a moan.
“Elias- Please.” Came Jon’s hoarse reply, hips bucking into the man.
Elias quickly put a stop to that, a firm hand cutting any movement. “Ah, none of that. Be good. Please what?”
“You. Please, Elias- I need you.” Came Jon’s tortured reply, muffled by Elias’ neck.
That was all Elias needed to pick Jon up and swiftly take him to the latter’s flat. Jon kissed his neck, eager and needy.
When they finally got to the flat, Elias set Jon down. “Are you completely comfortable with this, Jonathan?” He asked earnestly. Jon nodded quickly, “Yes, more than comfortable. Are you?” He asked. Elias nodded and pushed open the door.
Elias rapidly found himself pinned to said door with lips pressed against his hungrily.
Jon nipped and sucked his neck, grinding down on Elias’ crotch. The older man gasped and returned the action, stealing a kiss from Jon.
“Marks, Jon, the marks-“ Elias tried to remind them that they did have to go to work tomorrow, Jon’s answer was a bite on his shoulder. Elias cried out, unable to care as arousal coursed through his body tenfold.
He moaned into a kiss, delighted as Jon made his way down. Elias shrugged off his blazer and unbuttoned his shirt properly, giving Jon more access. He murmured praise as Jon moved his attention, “Good, Jon, good.” Falling off his tongue easily.
He moaned as Jon sucked his nipple, tongue circling around it. “Jon, ah-“ The man all but whimpered, voice breathy and face ablaze.
Elias grabbed Jon’s head and smashed his lips into his, pinning him to the wall. The younger man gave into it instantly, letting Elias take control.
“Where do you want me, darling?” Elias asked between kisses, enjoying the way Jon shuddered at the name.
“I- Elias, please- down, your mouth-” Jon tried to say, quickly cutting off as the taller man started to return the favor, very soon covering Jon’s neck in hickeys and marks all over.
Elias made quick work of Jon’s button-up and sweater, leaving a trail of hot kisses in his wake.
“Elias, I need you-” Jon gasped out as he bucked up for more, tugging Elias’ hair roughly and pulling his head down.
Jon started to ground his heat onto Elias’ face, moaning and letting his head fall back.
“Darling, really?” Elias laughed, amused at Jon’s eagerness. Asshole.
Jon answered by shoving the older man’s head fully into his crotch, smirking in triumph as he watched Elias’ reaction.
Groaning, he unzipped Jon’s trousers and pulled down his boxers with his teeth. Instantly, he buried his head between Jon’s bare thighs as if he belonged there.
He started exploring the younger’s folds, sucking his cock, finding the exact way to get Jon to moan the loudest.
At this moment, all Elias wanted was to make Jon go over the edge. It certainly didn’t hurt that Elias had quickly realized he adored tasting the man above him.
Jon moaned loudly above him, taking control once again. Quickly, Jon started pulling his hair, pushing Elias’ mouth and tongue further into his cunt.
The man below him enjoyed it immensely, giving himself up to Jon’s handling. His moans vibrated through Jon, made especially worse by how hard Jon pulled Elias’ hair.
Elias grabbed Jon’s thighs and raised them, providing better access and a better angle to make Jon fall apart.
As a result, the hand in his hair grew rougher, as did Elias’ need. He ground down on Jon’s shoe, seeking release.
“Elias, close- I’m close-“ Moaned out Jon, who only grew louder as Elias redoubled his efforts.
With a final suck to his cock, Jon came hard, going limp against him.
Elias cried out as well, spilling in his own pants, forming a large wet splotch at his crotch. He’d need to throw them out, but right now he did not care at all.
Elias got up, chin drenched with Jon’s slick. He kissed Jon languidly, letting the other taste himself on his tongue.
“Was that good, Jon?” He hummed into Jon’s ear, breath hot and heavy. Jon could only nod, clinging to him.
Elias got up, pressing a small kiss to Jon's forehead. He carried him gently, walking to the bathroom and undressing the both of them
He guided Jon to the shower, washing off the day and their activities.
First, Elias shampooed his own and Jon’s hair, taking special care to be gentle with the younger man. He pressed a chaste kiss to Jon’s lips, reaching for the soap.
He pressed a kiss to each part of Jon he scrubbed clean, and to each mark he found. “You don’t have to do all this, I know I’m not the ideal partner after sex.” Jon mumbled, coming to.
Elias looked at him, bewildered but not surprised. “Jon, you are gorgeous. There is no other place I would want to be right now. I want to do this, and it is what you deserve.” He reassured Jon, holding the man close as Jon surrendered to the care bestowed unto him.
Eventually, they were done. Elias helped Jon out of the bathroom, drying and dressing them both. Jon clung to him, kissing him sweetly.
“Stay. Please.” Jon mewled against him, nervous and pleading.
“Of course, darling.” He smiled, as if he didn’t fully intend on staying already. Jon only held him tighter, bringing his lips to his.
Elias let Jon have his way, holding him by the waist and slipping his tongue into the smaller’s mouth.
Jon was soft and pliant when they made it to the bed, easily melting into Elias. He held on to Jon tightly, making Jon feel safe. The man was asleep in seconds.
Elias watched him for a while, mesmerized with the fascinating man in his arms. How perfect he was, how perfect he will be after what is to come.
The sex would complicate things, but Elias had always enjoyed a challenge. Besides, he had not indulged himself like this in a century.
No comment was made on the warm tug in Elias’ chest, as he simply did not and could not feel that deeply about anyone anymore.
Jon was no exception, and Elias would not let delusions into his mind.
But the Eye would not allow lies either, and it made sure Elias knew how well and deeply fucked he was.
He hadn’t even known the man for a year, for God’s sake.
And yet.
Elias let himself pull Jon tighter still, the warmth in his chest growing bigger. Elias was determined to do right by him, this beautiful boy.
Despite all Jon would go through at Elias’ hand. If all went well, it would all be perfect.
Eventually, Elias fell asleep to the rhythmic beat of Jon’s heart.
It was quiet, and all that mattered were Elias and Jon’s entangled forms on the bed.
