   Summary

   The city of Splatsville has never been under greater threat.

   Mayor Haggles is enacting hostile policies and controlling the media using his connections in the television industry to turn an already-volatile populace against each other. And some of those working under him have their own, equally corrupt ambitions

   The Inkadian Reclamation Society and Octarian Liberation Front are trying to annihilate each others' species, with everyone else caught in the middle of their genocidal campaigns.

   The Servants of the Dreaming Cadaver are unlocking darker magicks still, violating the laws of nature itself in their quest to bring about the end times.

   And all of this while their best hope at survival, the New Squidbeak Splatoon, are more enemies than friends. With the ultimate crisis fast approaching, the five strongest members of Squidbeak will have to decide what's truly most important to them before all of it comes to an end.
