   Summary

   Finding your soulmate wasn't an instantaneous thing. The early indications of a soulbond tended to appear only after a strong emotional connection was already forged.

   Of course, there were always exceptions. Radical stories claiming two people shared each other's injuries the day they met, or read each other's thoughts from across a crowded bus. But most wouldn't reach that level of connection for years, if ever, as the bonds strengthened and evolved over time.
