Whenever Wherever

Summary:

Three third year students aren't happy about the contracts that the Octavinelle housewarden convinced them to sign so they put a spell on his broomstick before flight class. But before Azul can use the broom Floyd switches them and Jade ends up using it, this ends with the housewarden all but sacrificing himself to save his second in command. Now Azul is pretty injured from protecting Jade from the fall, and the twins are not happy about it.

Or

Azul almost dies trying to save one of the people he cares about and ends up in the infirmary.

Notes:

Hello and welcome, I love the octotrio and think they are all so cute together and how they care about one another. I thought I should make this fic because the idea wouldn't leave me alone so I ended up writing it, but also because I need more fics about them. I read a really good series about them being together recently, so maybe that was some inspiration as well. Their dynamics are so interesting together and fit somehow, so maybe that's why work so well together… who knows. Well I hope you enjoy this happy reading.

Work Text:

Azul was never very fond of flying class.

He had never been since the very first time he tried it his first year, shaking every time he even attempted to get off the ground.

Although that was last year and this year the blue eyed teen was much better at flying on a broom, mostly by his own standards, he still improved a bit overall. His hated for the class still remained reguardless. Now not including both Floyd's unnatural ability to fly and his twin Jade, it was a pain to show up and see how much better all the other second years were at it than him.

Azul was never one to quit, especially when it came to a grade for a class, so he always showed up to flying class regardless of his disposition on the subject.

I mean it wasn't his fault that it was common most merpeople were terrible at flying they were from the sea the sky was like a foreign land to them. So when Coach Vargus told them today they would be flying the Octavinelle housewarden sucked it up and could only let out a defeated sigh.

"Ehhh what's the matter Azul," Floyd questioned with a sly smile as they started to walk over to the green grassy field to practice flying, his twin brother on the other side of the shorter boxing him in and forcing him to answer the inquiry. "Something bothering you about what Coach Lobster said?"

Before the housewarden could answer Jade gave an equally mischievous smile commenting, "If I had to bet I think it's because we have to fly today, you know how Azul is about leaving the ground."

"Ah yes I remember now... He is even worse at flying than you are!"

Azul knew that the two twins were trying to get on his nerves and rile him up so he tried to ignore them as they walked, but as more time passed they just kept trying to push all his buttons.

The Leech brothers really liked to get a reaction out of their housewarden so they attempted to do so most of the time, when it was appropriate and even when it wasn't, like now when the trio was alone and had nothing better to do. Honestly they mostly just did it when they were bored and Azul just happened to be the most entertaining thing around at the time.

After all they found the octopus to be most interesting ever since they were young guppies.

At some point right before they got to the field the Azul finally had enough and snapped at the twins, leaving them to snicker at the shorter's expressive reaction.

"You two seem awfully eager to work the lounge alone tonight keep this up and you'll get your wish." Azul said in a huff as his face flushed red, crossing his arms and trying to outpace the twins.

It didn't take much time for both Floyd and Jade to catch up to the shorter again and all finally made it to the broom stand holding all the brooms.

Apparently after all that time they took getting there they were some of the last ones to take take to sky as well with only a few brooms remaining.

Right as the blue eyed teen tried to grab one of the ones off the stand another student handed Azul a broom politely then proceeded to do the same with the Leech twins, all three not recognizing the student but accepting the brooms nonetheless to be courteous as they headed to a less crowded area to take off from.

Once the trio got to an open area with all the other second years floating and flying above them the Octavinelle housewarden gave one last look above him and could feel a sense of dread fill him as he prepared himself for a long afternoon of struggles and strife.

Taking this moment of distraction Floyd swiped Azul's broom.

The shorter frowned and could feel his patience getting thinner by the second trying not to sound as mad as he was while he replied, "Floyd what the Seven's are you doing?"

"I'm switching up the brooms because it's fun," The eel happily sang as he grabbed Jade's boom as well, the calmer twin knowing it was futile to try to stop the other from his antics. "It's boring if we use the ones we were given, this makes things a bit more interesting."

With that Floyd handed his own broom to Azul and Azul's broom got passed to Jade leaving Jade's broom for Floyd.

Although both housewarden and vice housewarden found it odd to be doing such a thing such as switching brooms with one another they were used to things such as these when it came to the more hyperactive twin's moods. They could come at inopportune times but they came nonetheless and were something that both the other parties have learned to deal with.

"If you say so." Azul said tiredly, now saddled with a new broom.

Jade laughed lightly as he smiled the same benign smile he always wore.

"What Azul means to say is that you sure do like to keep things interesting Floyd."

The other twin then smiles with his teeth and replied, "I try."

Needing a little bit of space from the two Leech twins the Octavinelle housewarden walked off a little bit away before trying his best to get off the ground and getting about head level off the green grass.

Azul did his best to hold on as he tried not to look down at the world below him and how easy it would be for him to fall.

Oh how he hated flying.

...

Things were all going smoothly till near the end of class.

Although Azul had managed to get off the ground he still hadn't managed to get as high as everyone else in the class today and he could practically hear the coach's voice in his head saying that he needed to try harder and get higher to where everyone else was flying around.

It's not like the blue eyed teen didn't try but it just seemed like it wasn't going to happen today. So in the end Azul was content to stay a good distance closer to the ground than the others in his class, which was still quite high up from the earth mind you.

To be honest the housewarden wanted to call it quits and just head towards the grassy field to land since flying class was almost over and he almost did before he heard a commotion from the group of second years above him.

When Azul straightened out his glasses he could see that someone's broom was acting out.

That in itself was weird since the brooms usually did what the user wanted as long as they took control of it and did so with confidence, although not unheard of if a broom went out of control it usually happened when the user was a more inexperienced user, not a second year high up in the sky.

Then when the Octavinelle housewarden looked closer at the person he saw that it was Jade who was struggling to get his broom under his command.

Jade was better at controlling and flying a broom than Azul, but definitely not as good as Floyd. The Leech twin should have the ability to control his broom, especially when they were at this altitude. It was strange how just now it was starting to be difficult an act out... not right at the beginning of the class when they were closer to the ground at a lower altitude.

All of a sudden before Azul even had time to think the vice housewarden was violently thrown off the wild broom and into the open air.

No one could breathe as multiple classmates tried to reach out and catch the falling student, yet no one had made it in time or was even close enough to extend a hand to the falling vice housewarden.

The blue eyed teen knew he had no time to be doing anything else but he desperately looked for Floyd in this situation to see if he was going to try and rescue his brother, after all he was a great flyer unlike him.

But looking around Azul saw that Floyd was one of the highest people in the sky near the clouds and would never make it even if he tried to help save the situation. Everyone else was also in the same predicament as Floyd, either they were all too high up to save the falling student or too far away to reach him. No one had the opportunity or ability to get to him.

Jade was left to free fall with nothing there to catch him as he helpless saw the earth grow closer with each second.

Currently the way it looked the Octavinelle housewarden was actually the closest to the vice housewarden, yet it was still quite a distance to reach the Leech twin.

Despite his hatred for flying and his shaking hands Azul immediately went to Jade's aid without a thought of hesitation. If Floyd couldn't get to him it was up solely to Azul to do it.

This was his vice housewarden, this was Jade, the eel he had known since he was a kid, he was going to save him even if he died trying.

Even though it scared him beyond reason to fly Azul could never imagine something scarier than never being able to see or talk to Jade again.

When no one else was there for him all those years ago in middle school the Leech twins were by his side, joking with him, talking to him, treating him like he was their equal and nothing less. They had even chosen to come to Night Raven College with him now, Azul didn't know what he would do if one of them wasn't there anymore with him.

Floyd and Jade were two of the most precious things he had ever come across in his life, much to his reluctance to admit it.

To lose them now would be like... lossing a part of himself.

Regardless Azul tried his best not to think of those things as he felt the corners of his eyes start to tear up, calling out his vice housewarden's name in needy desperation.

"Jade!"

At this rate the blue eyed teen knew he wasn't going to make it in time but he had to try, he had to try his absolute hardest to at least save Jade before he collided with the ground below him. If he didn't then the impact from the fall would be devastating. Azul knew that his vice housewarden would surely... wouldn't be able to withstand the force from the impact.

As his tears threatened to fall, Azul knew this was his only chance to save Jade so he drew out his magic pen and hoped it would be enough, he hoped with all of his being that it was enough to at least save Jade.

It was common practice that you shouldn't keep your magic pen on you during flying class but nothing ever stopped you from carrying it, most students just didn't, but there was no rule against it. With that in mind for no particular reason Azul actually had his on him today, thank Seven he had been too distracted by the twins to put it in his locker before they came out here.

Azul then used his wind magic behind him to accelerate his speed into going faster than he ever had in his life.

The blue eyed teen's broom was piercing through the air like a bullet as it raced the falling student down to the ground, everyone else watching and racing behind, the earth getting closer and closer as each second passed.

Now in a nose dive to the ground Azul's grip on his pen and broom loosened and his pen flew off out of his hand and into the open air. He promised he would find his pen again later.

Azul then tightened his grip firmly as he once again gained control of his broom, now perfectly in line to catch Jade only a short distance away, the use of his pen and wind magic giving him just enough speed to make it in time.

With a last burst of speed and steering the Octavinelle housewarden made it to the falling twin and caught his vice housewarden with one arm as he continued steering with the other.

Relief was short lived as Azul tightly held onto Jade as he had to immediately try to pull the broom handle up as it was now aimed straight for the ground at an alarming pace, the speed enough to make anybody want to stop before they hit anything.

About ten feet before the pair could make contact with the grass Azul used all his remaining strength to pull the broom up and slow their descent, no easy feat for the speed they were going, and managed to somehow maneuver up and was now parallel with the ground. They were still going at a very fast velocity with no esay way to slow down, both then glanced at the earth with fear.

It was at that moment that Azul finally lost control of the broom and the pair were thrown forward towards the ground their current momentum not showing any signs of slowing down as they were hurled to the grassy terrain.

On instinct the blue eyed teen wrapped his body around Jade and his head to take the impact of the ground. He was a bit tougher than the Leech twins when it came to stability and strength but no matter how Azul looked at this it was going to hurt, it was going to hurt a lot.

But at least though all of this Jade would be safe he would be ok...

He would be ok right?

...

Right?

Azul doesn't remeber what exactly hit first but he thought it was his head when it hit the grass, because everything after that became a bit blurry.

From the speed the pair were going Azul's body hit the ground first then his head, as both housewarden and vice housewarden tumbled to a uncontrolled stop in the middle of the grassy practice field, blood now painting the ground they had just come from as both teens eventually sat up.

Jade was the first to sit up and uncurl Azul's arms from his frame in slight shock at what just happened and how the shorter protected him in the tumble, his face dirty and messy as he tried to regain his composure and check on his housewarden who was still yet to even attempt to move.

Pain erupted from his head as Azul started to blink away the black spots that decorated his vision. His head was killing him and his body ached but at least Jade was alive and well... right?

The blue eyed teen shot up ignoring the pain from his arm and head and looked over at a shocked Leech twin looking at him with a hint of- concern?

Azul looked Jade over and saw he looked alright except for a few bruises and scrapes, but most importantly he was alive right in front of him, blinking, breathing, frowning, he was there.

Jade was ok and alive!

Azul never wanted to experience something like that ever again he had almost lost one of the people that he most deeply cared about, it was frightening.

Out of the two of them Azul realized he had taken the worst of it with a broken arm, fingers, and a concussion.

Before Jade could say anything at all the other second years arrived on the scene in a rush and saw the bloody and messy pair and looked at them in worry, Riddle already off to go and get the school nurse with Coach Vargus. Gasps of shock and distress rang out as more and more students appeared out of the sky and landed nearby.

Azul then grasped at his left arm in pain and saw most of his fingers at odd angles and stifled a cry, he didn't want to show weakness in front of so many other students.

"Azul are you ok?" Jade asked with the utmost honesty that he rarely used with anyone, one that spoke volumes as he fussed over the shorter in front of him and slowly tried to reach out gently as if trying not to scare a child.

The Octavinelle housewarden grit his teeth trying not to let any weakness show as he felt pain from every part of his body.

"I-I'm fine Jade nothing to w-worry yourself over..."

Jade then tried again, arguing that the other was clearly lying, "Azul you're not fine you're-"

But before he could finish his sentence the shorter cut him off.

"I'm ok Jade... I'm ok," Azul answered honestly about his condition, his physical condition telling a different story from his words, hot tears threatening to fall as soon as he let them. A tiny genuine smile that he showed only once every blue moon slowly made its way onto his face as blood ran down one side of it and tiny cuts littered the other from his glasses, ones that were now nowhere in sight. "Don't worry about me."

The Octavinelle housewarden's voice then quieted to a whisper that Jade struggled to hear as he continued in a soft tone, "As long as you are ok I'm fine..."

Maybe it was all the pain the blue eyed teen had been in that made him say something like that, maybe it was the concussion, or maybe it was the honest to goodness truth but whatever it was rocked Jade to his very core. Words that the taller would never forget in a million years, edged into his mind permanently as he looked at the broken and battered Azul in front of him.

The Octavinelle housewarden then slumped forward weakly and Jade wordlessly caught him holding him close as the blue eyed teen held onto his uniform, shaking like a leaf and hiding his face in Jade's shoulder to cover the sad tears now flowing down his pale bloody cheeks.

Jade leaned his head onto the shorter's and his grip tightened around the smaller teen, nothing else needing to be said between the two.

Floyd then came over in a rush and pushed past all the other students rather crudely.

When he got to the pair at the center of the circle of onlookers and got down on his knees as he joined the two, both backing up to see the new arrival, Floyd frowning as he checked both his brother Jade and Azul for injuries.

Already knowing from the fact that the Octavinelle housewarden and vice housewarden messed up uniform and bloody appearance that this was something that required a bit more delicacy than his usual behavior Floyd acted with a little bit more caution, but only a little bit.

"What happened to you two? Got into a fight with the ground and lost without me?"

Jade smiled at his brother's comment, an obvious attempt to cheer them up.

"It would seem so Floyd, but Azul took most of the damage."

"Ehhh so that's why Tako-chan looks so roughed up." Floyd said lightly as he now got a better look at the shorter, mismatched eyes scanning Azul's face as blood continued to drip down onto the grass.

Then upon even closer inspection Floyd saw tears as they flowed down his housewarden's face and his poor attempts of trying to keep himself from letting out a sound.

Both the Leech twins smiled as they commended the shorter for his trying but knew that given the opportunity he would probably cry his eyes out because of the all the pain and shock if he were alone or just with them.

Floyd then moved closer to Azul and hugged him close against his body affectionally, being very careful not to hurt the other as he knew he was pretty banged up because of the fall, although it wouldn't look like that to anyone else around them.

The blue eyed teen didn't reject the hug but didn't altogether lean into it at first.

It took a few seconds before the reluctant pout on the shorter's face finally accepted the gesture and he relaxed into it but not before Floyd said something about.

Keeping his voice low to keep them more private for the trio Floyd smiled commenting, "Ahhh Azul is being all soft and squishy again just like when we were young, he's even crying like he used to..."

"I'm not crying!" The Octavinelle housewarden countered as he now began to struggle against the hold keeping him still, his face red and eyes puffy.

"Now Floyd he is probably in a lot of pain right now," Jade offered as he watched the scene in front of him, in no hurry to try and stop it, a content sigh being released as he eventually tried to help Azul. "Even if he is being a crybaby I think it is well warranted given we just crashed to the ground."

The blue eyed teen then looked over at Jade with an agitated huff and glared strongly with tears still shinning in his eyes.

"Jade!"

Floyd then laughed and replied, "Hehe Azul is so much fun when he is mad."

Not having the will or the energy to keep bickering with the twin Azul slumped down defeated as Floyd continued to hold him, all his strength and adrenaline finally beginning to wear off after a couple of minutes. His eyes getting heavier and heavier by the second, it now hard to even keep them open.

"You two are insufferable..."

The more rambunctious Leech twin then frowned as he looked down at the teen in his arms.

"We are so don't ever scare us like that again," Floyd countered as he saw Azul's strength leaving him and his head trying to stay upright. The taller then swiftly bringing his hand up and guiding the shorter teen's head to his chest to lean on. A rare show of concern flickered on his face as he curled up around the other to keep him safe from the outside world aorund the three of them. "Life without our precious Tako-chan would be so... boring. No one can ever compare to how interesting Azul is, even when he is being a crybaby."

Azul gave one last smile as he glanced up at Floyd with an uncommonly soft look right before his eyes closed for the last time.

"I'll keep that in mind."

With that the Octavinelle housewarden finally succumbed to sleep as his body finally gave out after all the adventure, the feel of Floyd's warmth drawing him closer and closer to rest the longer he stayed here in his arms.

The chaos around the trio not at all showing any sign of calming down.

Azul woke up several hours later in the night with a massive headache and high on painkillers.

Apparently his arm was broken in a few places as well as several fingers along his left arm. That and he also had a concussion and several bruises and small cuts that littered all of his body.

Although he wasn't dead Azul felt like he slightly wanted to be because of all the pain he felt in his limbs.

Forcing his eyes open the Octavinelle housewarden saw that he was in the school's infirmary, in a bed with all his injuries cleaned and wrapped. His head was securely wrapped with bandages and his arm and hand were fully covered by a cast. He also noticed he had been put in hospital gown pants and shirt, them hanging loosely on his frame as they were a size or two too big.

"Look who's finally decided to wake up from his beauty rest!"

The Octavinelle housewarden looked over at the right side of his bed and saw Floyd smiling brightly at him as he sat in a chair, leaning back so that only two of the four legs reached the ground.

Then glancing at his left side Azul saw the other twin as he carefully placed his spare pair of glasses on his face.

"It is around the time the doctor said he would Floyd."

With a strain the blue eyed teen tried to sit up.

The calmer of the Leech twins saw this and helped set up some pillows to help prop him up at an incline and saw the painful expression Azul was trying not to show.

After getting settled the Octavinelle housewarden then looked over at the Leech twins and asked what happened he blacked out.

"Well after you passed out Riddle arrived with Coach Vargus and the school doctor and they immediately took both you and me to the infirmary to be checked out."

Jade than look over at the bandages on himself that indicated scrapes and bruises mostly over arms and legs before continuing.

"I was not as injured as you of course so they let me go soon after, but you Azul are required to stay at least till tomorrow afternoon for observation since you sustained a concussion."

Floyd then rolled his eyes boredly and commented, "Yeah yeah all that but you're forgetting the most important part Jade."

That caught Azul's attention and he looked over at his vice housewarden expectantly, a serious look on his face.

"The specific broom that I used had been tampered with it wasn't just an accident," Jade said in a calm and steady voice, both the other two knowing that although his tone sounded even was furious at the development. "Although I ended up using the broom it was you who was originally meant to use it, meaning that someone-"

"Someone intended for me to fall not you." Azul finished as he concluded his own thoughts.

The blue eyed teen had found it oddly suspicious that someone had handed him a broom specifically to him an not anyone else.

The Octavinelle housewarden let out a sigh as he now realized he had to figure out and quickly deal with this incident and development. It was his responsibility to find out who had planned the attack and take care of the problem, permanently.

Oh what fun that would be once he got out of here.

Pain then shot from his head and Azul weakly reached up to the bandages around his forehead his discomfort clear on his face.

"Don't think too hard Azul the doctor said that you need to rest so you can get better faster." Floyd replied as he frowned at the action the blue eyed teen in front of him did.

"Oh is that right why does my health concern you," The shorter questioned as the pain slowly faded away, now noticing both the signatures of the Leech twins on his cast, Floyd adding several other scribbles and drawings along with it. "I have to sort this mess out now so I can not afford to waste time. I need to work or else everything will start to pile up."

Jade then gave a sly smile as he agreed with his brother, "Like Floyd said I don't think you need to worry about that right now my dear Azul."

"You are not also suggesting leaving this matter till a later date like your brother are you Jade?" The Octavinelle housewarden scoffed as he began to stress about all the things on his now growing to do list.

"Hehe no nothing like that I assure you because it is not even something that needs to be taken care of anymore."

Before Azul could even question what the calmer Leech twin meant the blue eyed teen felt the temperature of the room grow cold and he was reminded of being back under the sea. The demeanor of the eels being darker and more serious than a few seconds ago when he just woke up.

Floyd then smiled wickedly at his housewarden and mismatched eyes meet blue, "What Jade means is that we took care of those bottom feeders already. So you're welcome Zuzu!"

Now that altogether didn't surprised Azul, but he hadn't expected it to be taken care of so quickly.

Usually it took a bit of convincing for Floyd to want to take care of something when he wasn't in the mood. So for him to be saying that he must have been in some mood today for it already to be done only a few hours later after the incident, assuming Jade had probably taken the lead in the investigation not long after he got released from the school doctor's office.

"I don't doubt you Jade, Floyd, but are you certain you already took care of the root of the problem?" Azul asked having full confidence in the twins' abilities.

The vice housewarden laughed lightly and locked eyes with his housewarden.

"I wouldn't say anything less if I wasn't positive, right Floyd?"

"Yeah," The other twin confirmed as he slowly tilted his head and asked his own question to the shorter. "Do you not believe us Azul?"

The blue eyed teen looked off to the side and didn't meet either one of the eels eyes.

"No I just had to be certain you can never be too careful."

Azul then coughed and as his whole body shook pain radiated throughout every bone in his body, even the ones that were still pretty broken, a pathetic sight really if anybody saw him right now who knew him besides Floyd or Jade. Everything hurt and he wanted to cry but the blue eyed teen slowly began to stop after a moment.

Both Jade and Floyd looked over at their housewarden with an unhappy look in their eyes but said nothing as they schooled their expressions well.

They never liked seeing Azul like this so they did their best to hide their discomfort and worry.

"Since you will be here for the night and most of tomorrow the teachers have already said you are excused from any absences and won't be required to be present till Monday morning." Jade said as he helped Azul take a few sips of the glass of water from the stand beside his bed and take the potion right next to it.

Today was Thursday which meant he had a couple of days to rest before he needed ot be back in class, though that didn't mean he was free from keeping up with the homework and material they would do in class the times he missed them. After voicing these thoughts mindlessly Jade said Azul would have time to do that over the weekend and not anytime sooner, after all they didn't need the Octavinelle housewarden overexerting himself while he was so serverly injured.

On top of that Jade had also mentioned that the lounge would be closed tomorrow, both claiming it was because they were concerned about his well being, but Azul knew it was really because they didn't want to deal with the opening and closing of the business.

The blue eyed teen wasn't very happy about these developments but what could he do? He really couldn't do much stuck in this bed most of tomorrow.

Tiredness and drowsiness were starting to take effect again and Azul yawned in response.

The new onset painkiller had finally started to kick in again and his body was sore and needed rest, his eyelids feeling heavy as he looked down at the cast on his arm in disappointment. He couldn't use his left arm for good while it seemed.

Floyd and Jade watched in amusement as the shorter tried to fight the sleepiness, the pair knowing it was a losing battle.

Jade then carefully took Azul's glasses off his face and placed them on the stand next to the bed and slowly started to walk towards the back of the room before he heard a small voice call out to him.

"Where are you going?"

The Leech twins couldn't help but smile as they looked at the features on Azul's face all sad and gentle, a face they hadn't seen since they were kids hanging out. It reminded them of how different Azul's true nature was, seeing it mainly when they were children than now when they barely ever saw it at all.

"I was just grabbing a chair." Jade then replied honestly as he pulled it near the bed and gave a small sincere smile.

Floyd then looked over at the Octavinelle housewarden and brought his own chair even closer to the blue eyed teen's bed and laced his hand through Azul's own. The taller's grip was firm but delicate as he looked up into the shorter's eyes kindly choosing then to smile with his teeth.

"We'll be here when you wake up again Tako-chan so hurry up and get better. School is so boring without you."

Jade then added softly, "It's true."

Not long after Azul closed his eyes and fell into a deep dreamless sleep, but not before feeling something soft and warm first press against his hand and then his forehead.

A Few Hours Earlier

Floyd chased a trio of three students down the hallway, leading them to an empty and secluded one, Jade slowly following after his brother with a dark look on his face.

Not long after they had been released from the infirmary and checked on Azul's condition they had went to find the student who had handed them their brooms earlier that day. He then proceeded to tell the twins that three third years had put him up to it and that he was really sorry, then eventually told them their names after some convincing persuasion.

So after that it didn't take long to find them on their way back to their respective dorms later after classes.

Everyone had already heard the news about Octavinelle housewarden and knew the rumors flying around indicated that there was somebody behind it, so when onlookers saw the Leech twins without their housewarden wandering the halls no one dared get in their way.

Both looked not just mad, but livid as they kept to themselves and held downright evil smiles on their faces looking for their targets.

Even the teachers who had been informed wanted no part in what happened when the eels got angry. One was hard enough but when both were like this they were a force to be reckoned with, double trouble if you will, and with Azul not there to rein them in who knows how far they could go.

Floyd had finally managed to catch the three teens at a dead end and they turned around attempting to stand their ground, thinking maybe they had the advantage of being one more than them.

"My my look at what caught Floyd," Jade said intimidatingly as he slowly got closer to the three students, towering over them as he smiled. "A couple of playthings that you can squeeze."

The other twin laughed darkly.

"These are the guys who hurt Azul?"

Jade's gaze sharpened and delighted in the way the third year's eyes began to show fear going on to say, "Yes so feel free to deal with them as you wish, after all I'm injured remember."

The vice housewarden then held out his arms as if to prove his point, not missing the last little bit of hope extinguished from the three others faces by his comment, knowing for a fact that Floyd was never the gentler one when it came to taking care of... business and getting his hands dirty.

"You three are awfully stupid to try and hurt Azul like that." Floyd replied as he made his way over to the three teens, a manic look in his eyes, a hand reaching out like lightning and grabbing the closest one by the collar.

Jade was doing nothing but watching with pure amusement on his face as his brother lifted the other with no problem and he countined his rant. "I don't like it when you try to break Jade and my things like that, understand. Tako-chan is delicate only we get to bully and make fun of him, he's ours and if you ever think to try and mess with our mate like that again you won't get off so easily, got it?"

All three nodded vigorously before Floyd let go of the teen he was holding and punched him into his two friends.

The wilder Leech twin then cracked his knuckles and smiled wickedly as he began to beat the three third years half to death, Jade deciding to jump in and help near the end even though he knew his brother didn't need it.

Jade decided to join in because he shared the sentiment his brother said and wanted to make absolutely sure that the matter was carried out properly, Azul would have done the same after all.

By the time the sun came up the next day everyone knew about the incident and no one made any comment about the three students who were in the infirmary who were refusing to talk about what happened to them after they mysteriously appeared last night practically on death's doorstep.

That along with the fact that all three were notably putting in for a transfer to different schools starting in a few weeks.

Other students also said nothing as they saw Azul out and about the next afternoon with both Floyd and Jade seemingly sticking closer than before, if that was possible, as they all kept in tandem. The vice housewarden smiling as he helped carry some papers while the other twin loosely hung off of his housewarden's shoulders with a similar smile, both looking relaxed but knowing the other was just as quick to react if something were to happen at that moment.

Azul then glanced up looking around at all of the nervous faces around him of other student and then the twins, he knew they had done something that warranted this reaction but to be honest he didn't really care.

The trio was all together and that was what mattered to him the most. Azul couldn't help but give a small smile at the thought.

Notes:

In the end Jade and Floyd showed those three what happens when you mess with the Octavinelle housewarden, and why you should never ever do it. Good for them and Azul.

I think all the octotrio together is so cute and they would all be really protective of each other because they had been with one another for so long. Also because they had been together so long that they were basically in a relationship without even realizing it for awhile, then eventually someone finally just admits it to the others and they all start dating. That's just a thought, but what do you guys think?

Tako-chan = octopus, octy, or little octopus.
