Charmy finds out Espio’s gay

Summary:

Title says it all. Silver wakes up in Sonic’s timeline yet doesn’t understand why he was sent back, everything was fine in his timeline. Espio finds him and tries to help fix whatever is wrong. But can you really fix what you don’t know is broken? (Yes I’m aware the spelling is wrong in the title it’s a reference I swear)

Teen for like violence and stuff

Notes:

Peer pressured into making my first fanfiction. If it gets 50 kudos (which I know it won’t) I’ll show it to my English teacher. There is many grammatical and spelling errors due to me being very much disabled.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Fallen star

Chapter Text

Silver woke up staring at the ceiling. What? Something was off. As he rubbed his eyes. His surroundings became clearer and well, were not what he was used to seeing. Looking up was not the clear blue sky but white tiles…this is definitely not his future. Groggy, he shifted around sluggishly throwing off the covers on top of him.

As if he was back home (which he is clearly not) he takes a moment to inspect the scars on his bare hands. A tradition Silver has kept up every morning since he was 12. The scars shimmering a faint cyan as he moves his hand around. As he touches the circles burned into his palms he can’t help but to notice more about the room he’s in. Anime figures…weapons displayed on the walls…a small tv in the corner. Silver had a slight feeling he knew who’s room he was in.

The hedgehog walked over to the desk adjacent to the bed and spotted what looked like a leather book. Silver picked it up and started to flip through it. Recognizing the handwriting he slammed it down. Heat rushed to his face. Ashamed he had violated Espio’s privacy he sat back down onto the bed trying to stop the racing thoughts in his head. “How am I even here” seemed to be one that came up the most. Everything paused once he heard the door knob start to turn.

“…Silver?” A very familiar voice asked, breaking the silence. His face flushed, enjoying the concern in Espio’s voice, the worried look on his face, the- … wait… Why is Espio here in the first place? He hasn’t spoken to Silver since Eggman Nega kidnapped all those chaos. “I’m glad you’re up” Espio said his face lighting up his smile is so rare to see Silver felt so…so special. “Silver?” …shit. He was so lost in thought that he forgot to respond. He couldn't help himself, he enjoyed observing much more than interacting. “Oh…” He croaked “uh yeah.” “Sorry you must be so confused,” Espio replied sitting down next to him. He laughed a bit almost girlishly and picked at the skin around his nails. “sorry I’m getting off track” he apologized once more. “You see I was taking Charmy on a walk ( I giggled at this idk why) when I saw you passed out in the grass off to the side of the road. So we took you back to our house… I hope you don’t mind I- We were just worried.”

Silver sat there for a few seconds gathering his thoughts. “I must have time traveled somehow? I don’t know. I can’t remember.” The gaps in his memory bothered him. “I think I’m okay th-“ as he stood up a sharp pain came to his side. “Ghh I might need some food, sorry.” Espio turned a lighter shade of pink “shoot I should have- I’ll go get you some” cursing at himself for forgetting something so important he rushed downstairs skipping a few steps as he walked past the waiting room and into the kitchen. “Hey, what's the hurry? You never eat breakfast.” Vector commented as Espio rummaged through the fridge. “Uh…I felt like it? I didn’t eat dinner last night remember so-“ He replied realizing he had failed to tell Vector about Silver’s presence. Grabbing some yogurt and a small spoon Espio hurriedly up the stairs before Vector could ask any questions.

Silver was standing taking a closer look at all the figures placed on top of the dresser trying to distract from the fact his hands kept shaking. Espio came in and handed him a small cup of yogurt and a spoon made for toddlers (most likely Charmy’s from a bit ago). “I hope that’s okay.” he stated watching Silver eat. “No, it's great, thank you so much.” Silver said as he threw the cup and spoon into the wastebasket by the desk. “Blaze isn’t here isn’t she.” “No.” Espio replied with a strange sensation rising in his chest at the mention of her name. He shook off the feeling quickly regretting feeling that way about a friend. What was going on with him?? He NEVER gets like this. Not once has he felt this way before. Changing colors?? Getting embarrassed? Jealousy? All of this made him feel sick. “I’m not sure why I’m here this time.” Silver muttered, his soft tone breaking Espio’s thoughts. “I’m sure…I’m sure we’ll find out why eventually” Espio replied, imagining giving Silver’s hand a soft squeeze. Silver found comfort in Espio’s words. Silver felt safe…

Silver sat there looking into Espio's eyes and smiled. He was lucky to have such a good friend, that's what they'll always be… Just friends. This thought was off putting to silver he couldn’t quite imagine why. The thought drifted in his head while he observed Espio’s face (like any normal person would). He loved the way his eyes would soften looking at him…his slight smile…he could just imagine how wonderful his laugh would be. Ok this was getting a bit weird even for Silver. “Soooo when do I get to meet Vector and Charmy? I’ve heard so much about them” Silver asked with eagerness in his voice, hoping to change the subject of his thoughts. “Oh…yeah. They don’t- they don’t know you are here. In my room. Or in our house.” “You didn’t tell them?” Silver said with more curiosity rather than concern. This made Espio nervous. “No- just not yet. It was just so late at night when I found you and uh- Do you want any more food?” He said dodging the question “I’ll go get you more” he said not waiting for an answer. Closing the door behind him as he ran out. Sitting down behind the door he cursed at himself. Why couldn’t he act normal around Silver? Was it his eyes? God he loved looking into Silver’s eyes. What made them so distracting???? He needed to pull himself together. There had to be a reason he felt like this around Silver.
