In which the mad jackal finds a sick fascination in using a hero in his inevitable rise from the ashes of his own apparent demise. In which two unwell mercenaries find a tepid agreement on what can even be considered living. And in which a chameleon realizes that maybe there's value, safety, perhaps even beauty in sitting pretty at the feet of the world’s tormenter, even if the cost is his friends, and his sanity.
The title is an mcr song i know but also it felt fitting
