    Shane Hollander is a prodigy of a pilot with an innate ability to drift with almost anyone. He has helped the team restore the former Iron Maiden back to her original glory, and his mother, Commander Yuna Hollander, who is in charge of the yager program has tracked down one of the Iron Maiden's former pilots to serve as Shane's co-pilot.

    Ilya Rozanov was a prodigy in his own right, co-piloting the Iron Maiden when he was just sixteen with his older brother. But his brother died in an attack, one that Ilya barely survived and he hasn't piloted since.
