Chapter Text
The Cindercrest is coming in just a few hours, ready to attack and ready to battle.
But so is Parrot, a total amount of 14 thousand players under his command, both are prepared, both ready.
Stood on top of a high castle is the King himself alongside with his 2 commanders.
TheobaldThebird, a powerful player who is known to have carried the battle between the law and Parrot. He now stood beside his best friend, Parrot, still in disbelief within the sight of tens of thousands of players ready to help and ready to battle.
Now next to Parrot was his second commander,
ReinaDrop, she isn't that famous or strong like Theo, but she is known because of her intelligence and the difference between her and Theo. Her history remains as a secret, nobody but Theo and Parrot knows what happend to her.
Both of Parrots commander stood shocked and baffled because how did Parrot acquire this many peoples?
As far as Theo could remember, the army they had was just a bunch of bandits and the merchant city vanguards.
'How did he do this?'
Is a thought that replayed in Theo's mind and Reina's.
But that doesn't matter right know, the Cindercrest is already marching towards spawn. They might attack and appear in just an hour.
"YO!! Parrot! how'd you get this many people!?" Asked Theo still in disbelief but in a good way.
"I have my plans, and did you say they are marching towards spawn right now?" Parrot asked, not surprised at all.
"Yes!, Reina you saw it too right?! And the Flamefrags is working with Billy!" The cockatiel explained how he saw Flamefrags on top of a weird flying thingy and beside him was Billy.
ReinaDrop nodded along as Theo went to explain what both of them saw. Theo explained it in full details, not forgetting to mention how theres a bunch of over geared players under the Cindercrests commands.
The cockatiel still wasn't sure if they can beat the Cindercrest especially with their army only being in diamonds.
They were under geared and Theo very much doesn't believe in winning.
"I see..." Parrot murmured.. He also isn't a 100% sure if they could beat them or not, but the doubts quickly faded as he went to look at his army. Fourteen thousand players, all under his commands.
Nothing could possibly go wrong...
right?..
He has tens of thousands of players all working for him. What could possibly go wrong?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Fuck.
His army of 14 thousand.
All dead and defeated, half of them turned against him, some left, some teamed up with the Cindercrest.
He underestimated how over geared the Cindercrest was. he also didn't expect Wemmbu to work with Billy.
He never did.
Now he was standing infront of Shoebilly.
Behind him stood, Wemmbu,Flamefrags,Saparata, and Lomedy, all of them staring right at him.
Behind Parrot was his 2 commanders, Theo and Reina. Both of them are terrified, facing the most feared players on the entirety of the server.
"Well.. well.. well.. If it isn't the king of the server.." Shoebilly broke the uncomfortable silence between them, the tension was unbearable, because in any moment, all of them could be killed.
"You can just surrender, Parrot." Saparata added.
Shoebilly chuckled maliciously.
"Theo.. Oh my great student.. What did i tell you Theo? Having this type of friend makes you WEAK." Billy stared at Theo with an evil intention.
Theo answered by looking at the ground as if he is thinking about something...
Parrot looked at his best friend.. he hopes that Theo doesn't fall for Billy's pla—
.
.
.
"You're right."
.
.
.
What?
The shoebill infront of Parrot cackled.
Parrots eyes widen at what his best friend said. The question 'Why' and 'What' filled his head.
Parrots brows furrowed in confusion. His gaze on Theo as he asked
"What..?"
A pang of disappointment and sadness in his voice made Billy laugh even more.
Then it all came crashing down on him.
His chest feels heavy and tight as if someone placed a large boulder on his chest and shoulders. The friendship and trust they had built disintegrated just like that.
Theo didn't respond.
Then.
He threw the spyglass that was given by Parrot as a sign of their friendship to the macaw hybrid, hitting the ground with a loud thud.. it wasn't that loud but it sure was to Parrot.
The lens broke as it hit the ground, it rolled infront of Parrots feet.. He looked at the broken spyglass on his feet.
He felt someone walk past behind him, his gaze landed where Theo was but.. he wasn't there, it was just air.
Parrot immediately turned to look at Billy and...
There he was.
Theo behind Billy.
His best friend turned against him. Theo didn't even dare to look at Parrot anymore, he was staring at the ground as if it personally offended him.
"Great decision, Theo. I knew you'd come back to me." Billy chuckled his gaze never leaving Parrot.
It hurts, damn it hurt.
Parrot held back the tears filled with guilt and sorrow.
It burned, holding back the frustration hurts.
Then,
all the memories flashed in an instant.
.
.
.
.
"Do we part ways?"
"nahh.."
.
.
.
.
Memories flooded back, the time where they hunted treasures, the time where they fought the Law. The time where both of them were ready to die together..
The betrayal of his best friend.. Hurts.
He doesn't even know if hurt was the right word. Every single time he remembers how Theo always sacrificed everything for him made him want to burst into tears.
But right now he couldn't. He can't.
Not infront of his enemies.
Parrot would rather step off as king than loose his only best friend. But he had lost so much.. too much.. he lost his friends just for him to become king.
Was he going to throw that away just for Theo to come back?
Probably.
He stared right at Theo, ignoring how Billy attempts to frustrate him even more.
That didn't matter.
What matters is that his best friend left him.
He couldn't hold back the tears anymore, he cannot hold it in anymore.. Overwhelmed and frustrated is what Parrot felt.
Just because they took everything,
his everything.
"Theo.. you promised! You promised!.." Shouted Parrot with a devastated tone.
He didn't even realize that tears was already running down his face. He doesn't know what to feel. Anger? Sorrow? disappointment? regret? relief? It was a mix of everything.
"Aww.. crying? poor king.." Saparata joked exacerbating the situation even more.
He let his tears fall down freely down his face. He didn't care anymore, he doesn't care even if it was humiliating, he didn't have space to think about that,
His best friend betraying him took over his mind. Taking over every space left in his mind.
Not until Reina, who he forgot that she was just behind him.. placed her hands on Parrots shoulder. that simple act shouted 'calm down' at Parrot.
"Parrot.. stasis. The stasis..., we can't take this fight, they are too over geared." Whispered Reina.
Right.. he forgot that the 3 of them had a stasis chamber set up in a secret base.
Both of them pulled out their fishing rod, the two of them teleported back to the place where their stasis was.
They needed to get out of here as soon as possible, Theo knows the exact location where their stasis was.
Now without a second thought, Reina and him bolted out of there.
They ran for what felt like hours, they stopped running after they felt safe, they managed to find a cave to rest in.
...
..
.
"Are you okay?.. I can't believe he'd do that." Reina asked in attempt to break the uncomfortable silence in the air.
"...Yeah I- I just.. just need some time to think." Parrot says as he sat on the cold stone.
God.
The heavy feeling on his chest never left, even though his tears dried earlier while running.. The weird feeling on his stomach is still there.
What does it even mean?
Is it guilt?
Is it sadness?
Maybe.
The thought of Theo makes him wanna throw up. How was he even going to recover? He thought Wifies was the final but it turns out he was just the tutorial.
The happy memories he shared with Theo keeps replaying again and again.
a warm liquid crossed his cheeks and then drop on to the cold stone.. Was he crying again?
.
.
.
.
.
"Parrot..? I'm sorry."
.
.
.
.
.
His eyes shot wide open as he found himself laying on the stone floor. He sat up to and looked at his surroundings hoping for a miracle to see something that shouldn't be there.
"Fuckass dream.." he whispered to no one.
he only saw a Reina leaning against the wall with her head resting on her knees as she stares at the entrance.
He strokes his hair using his hands.
(bros jst typing bullshit💔)
"Reina.. What are we even going to do now?" Asked Parrot, the only response he got was Reina shrugging.
'Reasonable.'
Parrot thought to himself, because what was he even going to do now? his best fighter is gone, his army is gone and HELL his items and resources was not spared either.
Right now, Parrot was
Friendless
penniless
Armyless (if thats even a thing😭)
He was back at square zero.
He lost everything and his everything, Lord have mercy on Parrot, he just wants the best for everyone.
His eyes burned from crying his self to sleep earlier, he doesn't even know how to start a plan without Theo intruding his mind. Parrot couldn't focus if an intruder pops in his mind.
He was trying to forget the pain for godsakes!
The thought of something that reminds him of Theo brings the tears back on hi—
"Uhm.. Parrot?.. I- uh we have a problem." Reina whispered as her curled up position reverts back to her preparing-to-run position.
There were leaves crunching closer to the entrance of the cave.
The footsteps consist of atleast 2 player max, the footsteps were too heavy to be a critter or an animal Both of them prepared to run outside because the so called 'cave' led to a dead end.
It was wraps for both of them if they ran deeper to the cave.
2 familiar voices was heard from outside, Reina moved closer to Parrot since the macaw was basically behind a wall.
"Lomedy I lowkey feel bad for Parrot bro.."
"Me too but... he only cares about the new players."
"Yea but damn.. imagine that your army is defeated and then your best friend betrays you, that surely hurts bro."
"Obviously, now c'mon bro! walk faster, Billy told us to search for those two."
"Fine finee... But Lomedy this is genuinely so stupid bro, they probably got away by now.. it's quite literally hours..."
The voices of Flamefrags and Lomedy grew distant as he let out a breath that he didn't even know he held in.
"Parrot, we need to get out of here... like.. ASAP, if Lomedy and Flame are looking for us then the whole army must be doing the same.."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
They need to get out of here before—
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"Found you."
