Chapter Text
You were lounging on your bed with a book when your partner came shyly wandering into the bedroom.
“Can we..talk about something?” He questions, batting his eyes down to you in so much seriousness- you can’t possibly know what he’ll ask about.
“Of course, honey. Sit down.” You set your novel aside and pat the bed for him to sit dutifully next to you.
“Okay, um,” Daniel clears his throat with a soft cough. “What if it’s embarrassing to say out loud?”
“I promise you it can’t be all that embarrassing.” You dip your head forward. “And I am your girlfriend after all.”
“Alright..well, you know how there’s some things I never talk about? The thing that happened to me..before I met you?”
“Yes.”
“And you know how there’s certain things that I-“ His glasses glint in the light as he lowers his head with some kind of pre-determined defeat. “I can’t do. I want to try fixing that. You might say ‘no’, and that’s okay, but-“
“Daniel, honey, tell me what you want, stop dancing around it.” You reprimand.
“I want you to help me not think about anything.” He answers, this time without tripping over his words at all.
“What do you mean, I’m not..following?” You curl yourself closer to him and pet over his thigh to spur him on.
Maybe that will help him ask you for whatever it is that he wants.
“You’re a doctor,” Daniel explains slowly. “And I want you to help me. I don’t even want to be completely asleep, I just want to feel…not worried. I just want to feel at peace while we do it.”
“You want me to give you..medication?” You’re careful to not let your expression give anything away.
You’ve heard of things like this. You’re unsure of how common it is, but you had read somewhere that sometimes rape victims like their partners to take control in such an extreme way.
It’s supposedly ‘healing’, but you’re uncertain about how unsafe and unethical it might be.
“Yes, please.” Daniel positions himself half on top of you to appeal to you somehow, although he’s a lot larger than you on principle.
“Alright.”
“I just want to be happy. I’m tired of being scared over something I should be enjoying-“
“I said alright.” You repeat, more softly as you stroke through his hair. “If that’s what you for sure want. My only rule to this is we have to come up with a way for you to tell me when to stop or if I need to change something up.”
“You don’t think I’m gross for this?” Daniel blinks up to you as if he thinks you’ll shove him away or yell at him to leave.
“Not at all.” The corner of your lip raises lovingly into a smile. “If this is for sure what you want, let’s do it. I want you to feel safe when we fuck, not scared. If you think some meds will help, I’ll bring some home.”
“Thank you so, so much-“ Daniel lunges into you to bring his lips to yours. “I love you.”
You roll his bottom lip between your teeth and kiss him a little more before you respond.
“I love you, too. Just give me until tomorrow and we’ll see what I can bring home.”
