   Summary

   Yuna and David were worried that Shane's love for hockey might burn him out so they made him try out new hobbies, out of a million hobbies they've tried, skaterboarding's the only one that sticked.

   Skateboarders are a weird bunch, and Shane fits right in that bunch. So he's a bit more comfortable in his skin. A bit more emotionally mature.

   He still plays hockey professionally, but as his past time he loves skating.
