A sudden blizzard swallows the peaks, winds shrieking like distant cries as snow buries the path home and seals them inside.
As the storm tightens its grip, the warmth feels thin, barely holding back the cold pressing at the walls. Then something else settles in—an uneasy weight, a sense of being watched. Shadows bend where they shouldn’t. The forest stands unnaturally still. The silence feels alive.
In the frozen dark, something ancient stirs, drawn by fear and winter’s cruelty. The cabin creaks, the wind howls, and every flicker of firelight suggests movement just beyond sight. Friendship is tested as dread seeps in like frost. What began as celebration turns uncertain, the storm trapping them with a presence that hungers, waiting for the cold to claim them.

She is filling the void with various one night stands. Dash is very solitary with her feelings, but secretly yearns to be loved. Dash is busting tail to qualify for the Olympic trials in track and field, and AJ is her biggest supporter. The two are completely oblivious to the other's pining...until they're not.AJ soon finds herself falling head-over-heels for her best friend, but thinks the feelings are one sided. She's too oblivious to realize Dash's "fake" flirting is actually flirting.

Lauren Faust wakes up in Equestria, with no memories of what she was doing or how she got here. After finding herself just outside Ponyville, seh decides to do what every writer could do if given a chance to see the world they themselves created.
Namely, to visit it and try to meet her characters, of course!
This story is the ‘pilot’ for an AU expanded universe-series rewriting idea I had quite some time ago. If you liked it, please like it and leave your feedbacks so I can read your own opinions on the plot and your impressions on the work. Should this work get enough interest, I will consider write down the rest.
