Summary
The man’s looks caught him by surprise; while his clothes were very much fit for a bounty hunter, mainly the obnoxiously large hat, his face was unexpectedly young and soft-looking for a man of his reputation. Which meant that either Song Mingi had to work hard to make a name for himself as an incredible sharp shooter or that his skill was something fabricated by the empire and that the man was no more than yet another puppet of imperial propaganda.

When hormonal fuckery turns Song Mingi (28, omega, affable tattoo artist) into an embarrassing public spectacle of pre-heat hot-mess, it's his rotten luck that it all goes down in front of one Jeong Yunho (29, alpha, infuriatingly handsome florist, and Mingi's sworn annoyance).
Or: There are a million romantic "meet cutes" enshrined on page and screen. "Reconsider ugly" doesn't have the same ring to it, but Mingi's gonna roll with it anyway.

The doctor’s smile softened. “You should sleep, it’s still late,” he murmured. “You’re safe now Mingi. You can rest.
Distantly, he felt the soft motion of a hand brushing through his hair, but Mingi was, at that point, too deep in his slumber to question the touch.or: after dragon mingi escapes scale traffickers, he ends up in a small village where refugees hide from hunters. there he meet yunho, a doctor who nurses him back to health, and teaches him how to trust again.

Yunho sees him immediately.
It doesn’t matter that he’s wearing a beanie that obscures most of his forehead, or that the half-drawn sleeves of his hoodie reveal a plethora of tattoos Yunho far from recognises. Even the new broadness of his shoulders or the inch he’s gained in height does nothing to sway him. Yunho knows those eyes, sees them in his dreams.

It was to those words that Mingi's entire life unravelled, thousands of years spent creating Spring after Spring to rival the last all meant nothing when he was trapped in the Underworld, pushed aside and forgotten.
Until a hellhound was placed in front of his door and suddenly the palace seemed a little less lonely and a little more hopeful. Maybe he would be able to escape, after all?
