SOUKOKU REVERSE BANG 2023
All works created as part of this years REVERSE BIG BANG, focusing on the partnership of Dazai Osamu and Chuuya Nakahara, also known as Soukoku.
A reverse big bang is similar to a big bang as a collaborative event between artists and writers. Artists submitted sketches and writers were given the opportunity to select those they'd like to work with. These partners have been working together since May to bring you a combination of art and fic.

"Generally speaking," Dazai says, and he doesn't sound anything like the Dazai that Chuuya knows, "I can't imagine I'd go through the effort of faking my death when dying is both easier to achieve and more of a pleasant experience. Though it depends on the how and the why, of course."
"Bastard, stop talking in circles and–"
"Boss, huh?" Dazai says, and Chuuya breaks off. It sounds wrong, from Dazai, and Chuuya lets Dazai go. Dazai drops down to both knees, and then sits there, gazing past Chuuya and looking at the makeshift shrine on the imposing wooden desk. There's something dark in his gaze, and it's almost comforting. Almost, because it's familiar; it's a knife in the darkness that Chuuya has watched bring down hundreds of people.
"What," Chuuya snaps. "Going to tell me you want the position back?"
"Back," Dazai murmurs, drumming his fingers on his knees before he finally climbs back up to his feet. His hands go into his pockets, his posture relaxed and easy, and none of it makes any sense. "Chuuya, was I really?"

“That’s a first.” Chuuya grinned. “Only the truly damned have nothing to wish for.”
“I am here to make a deal,” the mysterious traveler began. “A deal of a lifetime.”
“A human making a deal with a demon?” Chuuya considered. “Go on then."
“I have answers,” Dazai answered. His cool eyes held nothing but unfortunate truth. “I know how you were sealed here.”
The demon lurched forward, stopping short on the edge of his chains.

“Dazai! Wake up, we’ve got a situation.”
Kunikida’s voice sounded so serious and concerned as he continued to bang on the door, that Dazai didn’t even have the desire to mock him right now. Clearly, something happened, and judging by Kunikida’s appearance, it was something that couldn’t be dealt with without him. There were many things that made Dazai special, but one above all else – No Longer Human. There was a need for his ability.

Chuuya activates Corruption in his sleep and takes down his building and half the block with it. With Dazai being the only one who can stop him, the ADA rushes to the scene and takes control of the situation barely in time. Nobody knows why one of the most powerful men in Yokohama suddenly has very little control over his own special skill, but Dazai suspects it is no accident. Perhaps, someone really wants to rid of the man who has the power to wield the power of Arahabaki, capable of destroying Shibusawa's Red Dragon.
