Summary
The mission was meant to be quick. Damian, posing as a civilian, was supposed to slip in unnoticed, extract the coordinates to an alien tech exchange, and walk away before anyone realized what had happened. The plan was simple and flawless.
At 22:00, the Justice League was supposed to dismantle a criminal organization before the deal ever took place.
At 21:45, Batman was on his knees in Gothams cruel rain, squeezing his son’s bleeding body. There were no coordinates, —only the weight of Damian’s blood on his hands and the sickening certainty that the mission had failed in the worst possible way.
But the blood son is relentless and he survives.
He wakes days later in a hospital bed, alive—without a single memory of who he is, the father who never let go of his hand and the unfamiliar, chilling faces of the people who surround him in this unfamiliar room.

Damian Wayne hated the number seventeen.
It was truly a horrid number. It wasn't a prime, you couldn't divide it evenly by anything, except one and itself, and the closest you could get to splitting it evenly was eight and nine, which were amazing numbers, and some how the fact that two amazing things made such a horrid abomination hit a little to close to home.
The number was all around bad luck, and probably had to do with why his life was currently so horrible.
Case in point, he was being yelled at for something he literally didn't do.
