Summary
“Don’t you find it weird that whenever we argue, we just manage to end and forget about it so quickly?” Cole spoke up awkwardly.
Jay glanced away from his phone, frowning, “what d’you mean?”
“I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but.. It’s just odd. I feel like most normal friendships don’t do that.”
“Normal?” Jay raised an eyebrow, “since when has our friendship ever been normal?”
Cole chuckled, “it’s not. I’m just saying I like that we’re so comfortable with each other that we don’t even need to discuss our issues or arguments to know that neither of us really meant it.”

Summary
Jay’s eyes were filled with nothing but anger, his brows furrowed in a determined scowl. His movements were sharp and precise, each step he took filled with pent-up frustration. The air around him seemed to crackle faintly with electricity.
In complete contrast, Cole’s eyes reflected a deep, unsettling fear. His usual composure a lot more tight, stepping with caution as if searching for a way to navigate the unwanted battle without causing harm. His shoulders were tense, his muscles strained.
Cole kept his gaze on Jay’s pale face, seeking some sign of the friend he knows deep beneath the overshadowing fury. There was nothing.

Summary
“You’ll feel better once you’ve gotten it off your chest,” Cole spoke softly, “and don’t think you can lie to me, I know you too well.”
For the first time, Jay looked at him. It was almost instant, yet he didn’t seem better. The slight fear and pain in his eyes sent a shock through Cole’s chest, his hand removing itself from Jay’s shoulder. Jay pursed his lips slightly, his eyes welling with tears.
What the hell had happened in that alternate timeline?
OR
Cole notices how weird Jay has been acting lately and wants to know what's wrong. Jay doesn't want to talk about it though.

Summary
“You said it yourself, you’ve never been romantically involved with anyone so that just automatically makes me a better kisser,” Jay shrugged, a smug smirk on his lips which Cole definitely didn’t fail to stare at.
“Prove it.”
“Prove it?” Jay frowned, “how the hell would I prove it?”
“Kiss me.”
