Tsukasa has no idea what to say.
He racks his brain, twists and squeezes it dry, but he comes up empty, no memories of rehearsal or a script or even of the original source material. Like he'd been plucked from one universe and placed into this one instead by accident.

Or, if you'd prefer, Tsukasa has a nightmare. He thinks that part of it is a memory long forgotten. Rui is there to talk it over with him, though, so it's not so bad.

Summary
No matter how many breaks Tsukasa takes and how much water he drinks, he still feels dehydrated. Tsukasa, of course, doesn't mention this to anybody, because they've all been just as hot and miserable as he is and nobody is complaining. He's not going to be the one to start.
He rubs his hands together, trying to get some of the sweat off. It doesn't work.
But, his break times have got to end at some point. He has to get back on stage. Sure, he'd chosen to still act out his lines rather than just saying them, but that's how he acts! He can't do just one or the other, he has to put his whole body into it. It's all or nothing -- and Tsukasa would be caught putting no energy in only at his own funeral.

Or, if you'd prefer, it's a very hot day out. Tsukasa exerts himself a little more than he should on the stage, and finds himself fainting before he can say even his very first line.

“Well,” Tsukasa puts his hand on his chest, aiming for a silly pose that'll put a smile on Emu's face again. “A rising star like me needs his recommended hours of sleep, doesn't he!”
Nene takes a glance at her phone, across the table from Tsukasa. “Mn, it's not very late.”
“Yes, well, it's getting dark, I don't like to walk when it's dark out.”
Nene shrugs, making a face that says 'fair enough.'
Rui turns to him, resting his chin on his knuckles. “Ah, and a rising star shouldn't need to walk home alone, should he? Why don't I accompany you?”

Or, if you'd prefer, Tsukasa and Rui break off from the group to walk home a bit early. They get distracted by an old, deserted playpark, and Tsukasa really would like to spend some time on the swings. Rui has something he'd like to tell him.

Apparently, yes.
Tsukasa doesn't remember, but he feels like this is information he knows already. There's something that sets off a lightbulb in his brain, one that says "we knew this information already."
And, by her response, surely she's had to tell him this more than just twice, now.
That thought terrifies him.
He can't help but wonder;

“Are you sick?” he asks, turning once again and walking back towards the group. “You were standing further away from the others than you typically do.”
Was he? Tsukasa hadn't even noticed. He's sort of thankful for Rui's great power of deduction, because talking loudly a few moments ago really hurt his throat.
“Right. I'm feeling sick right now and I don't want to infect anyone else! But, I couldn't not come to practice, a star cannot abandon his troupe!”

Or, if you'd prefer, Tsukasa comes to practice sick. The others aren't happy about it, but they let him stay for the sake of the show, so long as he lays down for the duration. It doesn't go as planned. Rui carries him home.

Tsukasa looks to his left, at the ascending rock wall while he descends down the path. There are probably centuries of rock and stone in this solid dirt.
Tsukasa looks to his right. Upon not seeing much but sky and the tips of trees, his eyes trail downwards.
It's a very steep drop.
One that physically surprises him, makes him jump.

“Ah. Well, to start,” Rui holds his hand out for Tsukasa to shake, “I am Kamishiro Rui. Former moon god of shadows. Who might you be?"
Kamishiro Rui... Nope, not ringing any bells. He’s never heard it before. It is very pretty, though.
“I am Tsukasa Tenma!” His volume raises a good few decibels at the chance to introduce himself, smiling wide, shining brighter. “Soaring Dragon God of Light!” He lets go of Rui’s hand, putting his hands on his hips as he laughs triumphantly. “I assume you’ve heard of me, if not by face, then by name!”
Rui almost literally jumps, but laughs gently. He nods. “I have heard your name, the humans speak highly of you.” Rui thinks it would be a bit funny to boost the ego of this god. “It feels a bit-” He coughs, “A bit unreal to finally meet the Tsukasa Tenma in person.~”

He feels like he gets sick much more often than the average god. Rui pulls the covers further over his face, burying his nose in them. He shuts his eyes. He'll just wait until he feels better. It's not like there's anyone waiting for him down on earth or something.
But…ah. Maybe he'll get to see Tsukasa. Thinking about that makes him feel better already.
