Summary
The sequel to the story of Mechanic Diana Silver and the crew of the Spirit of Fire following the revelation of the the Spirit of Fire- Alone. The UNSC debate how to prepare for the expected arrival of the Flood on Forerunner war ships while still attempting to contact the Milky Way and warn them of their discovery. Meanwhile, the Banished deal with the aftermath of treachery in their ranks, their continued battles on the arc against the humans and the Prelates covenant remnants. Voridus deals with the persistent slander about him and reevaluates his relationships and motives. A threat unlike any known before is released on the Arc.
