Félix raises an eyebrow but obliges. He should probably get on with it before Adrien second guesses himself too hard and tries to take it back.
Félix pulls the tissue paper out and squints at what’s inside. It’s— a plushie? He takes it out of the bag to get a better look at it.
All of the air is stolen from his lungs the second he does.
A rabbit plushie.
A white rabbit plushie.
(Or for Félix’s next birthday, Adrien teams up with Marinette to make Félix a rabbit plushie, much like the one he had as a kid. Old feelings Félix thought he buried return in full force.)

Summary
Now it’s Félix’s turn. Adrien needs to know about his own existence before anything else and Félix wanted to have that conversation himself. Marinette didn’t argue when he told her as much. If anything, she seemed slightly relieved.
Félix has been meaning to do it for a long time. Adrien had been at risk if he said anything before, not to mention it felt cruel to tell him when he would still have to bend to his father’s orders until the rings were retrieved. But Adrien wears his own amoks now, making his own choices with no one forcing him to do any of it.
All physical risks are out of the way. Félix only needs to break it to him.
The problem is that it never seems to actually be the right moment.
(Or Post Season 5, Félix finally has the chance to tell Adrien about both of them being sentibeings and their family history. He’s not quite sure why his words keep failing him whenever he tries though.)

Wordlessly, Adrien slips the ring off his finger and offers it with an outstretched hand. Félix stares at it for a long moment, knowing in an instant what it is but processing what it means.
“You can’t be serious.” Félix blurts out at last.
Adrien, the traitor, can no longer fight the grin that stretches across his face. “Completely.”
(Or Félix was still getting used to Adrien being Chat Noir, but now he must take on the performance of a lifetime and become Chat Noir. It’s more stressful than it sounds.
Takes place in Season 2 of a Félix Joins Early AU.)

“I’ll explain everything later.” Félix says, taking another step back, then another. Adrien clenches his jaw. “But for now, I think you could all use some space to realize that a free world is exactly what we need.”
Adrien lets go of Marinette’s hand in order to surge forward with a yell. He’s a beat too slow as Félix leaps out of the way. He flees, taking to the rooftops until he’s out of sight and leaving the three of them behind.
Without his Miraculous active, Adrien has no hope of catching up with him.
The red light in the sky doesn’t waver for a moment.
(Or Canon Divergence from the Season 5 episode ‘Emotion’ in which Félix succeeds in bringing Marinette back. Adrien, Kagami, and Marinette are now trapped in an empty world, unless they can either convince Félix to bring everyone back, or do it themselves. Meanwhile, Félix slowly learns of the consequences of pushing the Miraculous of Emotion past its limits.)

Summary
On extremely rare occasions, the Peacock Miraculous creates twin sentibeings who yield to the same amok, and Emelie gets lucky.
As the twins grow up however, the Agrestes quickly learn that one is more trouble than he’s worth. They choose to separate the pair, and the problem child is hidden away.
Now that Gabriel has repaired the Peacock Miraculous but failed to retrieve the Miracle Box, he determines that a new ally for his Akumas may be the key to victory. With Nathalie rebuffing him, he turns to someone who can’t refuse him.
Félix leverages the situation to his own favor as much as he can and becomes Argos.
Marinette and Adrien struggle with the pressure of becoming Co-Guardians, a new supervillain come to make things harder for them, and Adrien’s family secrets slowly coming to light.
Alya, Nino, and Kagami all make a new, mutual friend.
(Or in which Félix and Adrien are twins, but that only makes things more complicated.)

Adrien tugs Félix closer, shielding him the best he can without dropping him. His heart stutters in his chest like a bad record. “Stop this, father! Whatever it is isn’t worth it!”
“He has your mother’s wedding ring!” The Collector bares his teeth.
“You hurt him over a ring?” Adrien’s voice rises to a furious shout.
“It was hers!”
His cousin is boneless in his arms, breathing so shallowly that Adrien almost thinks he’s not breathing at all. He’s still warm however, still alive, no matter how lifeless he looks right now.
And all father cares about is a ring.
(Or The Collector strikes first and asks questions later. Adrien leaves to find his cousin. When these two things collide, a chain reaction occurs.)

“Adrien? What are you—…” Félix trails off, freezing at the distant sound of Nathalie’s voice.
Adrien struggles to find his voice again. Félix looks… Shaken. Genuinely shaken up. Adrien has only been gone, what, ten minutes? Maybe fifteen? He wasn’t counting but it wasn’t that long.
He’s not sure what could’ve happened in that short amount of time to make Félix look like that.
“No time.” Félix says in a rush, snatching a duffel bag off the floor. He swiftly moves towards the door, surprising Adrien when he grabs his arm and pulls him with him. “We need to go. Now.”
(Or Adrien turns back a little earlier in Risk. Félix throws the original plan out the window and escapes with him in tow.)

Félix has a tell.
Félix told Adrien that he had a lot of tells— things he did that indicated he was lying. With his advice, Adrien was slowly able to break out of them so it would be less and less obvious when he lied. Though Félix must’ve withheld one of them because he can still pick up when Adrien is lying to him pretty easily.
It’s hard to see Félix’s tell when he’s lying to him directly, but he sees it when he lies to others. There’s a glint in his eyes when they believe him, there for a split second but gone in the next. Satisfaction and relief, Adrien thinks. A job well done.
(Or Adrien knows what his cousin looks like when he lies. Flairmidable looks a little too much like that to be coincidence.)

“What?” Adrien blurts, louder than Félix would like. His eyes dart to Argos but thankfully, he doesn’t turn around. Félix shoots Adrien a look to lower his voice and thankfully, his cousin listens. “You think we can’t trust him?”
“He has the Peacock Miraculous.” Félix points out.
“He’s from the future.” Adrien counters. “And Future Chat Noir trusts him so… Maybe we can trust him too?”
(Or Chat Noir and a Peacock Hero from a decade in the future end up in the past and save their past selves. Félix is wary of whoever this ‘Argos’ is.)

He hesitates again. He hesitates for far too long but nothing… Nothing happens. There is no punishment, no exploiting his moment of weakness.
Only that same plea. They do not grab him and attempt to yank him out of the protective corner he’s carved for himself.

Félix is working for Monarch and his Akumas, that much is clear. Adrien is pretty sure that he’s meant to be trying to take their Miraculouses, just has yet to succeed— Ladybug has been guarded ever since they learned what he could pull off with the Dog Miraculous. His attempts to use Fetch again have all been deflected.
Adrien just doesn’t understand why he’s with Monarch. He doesn’t understand anything about what he’s doing.
Félix isn’t acting like himself, not even Aunt Amélie thought so.
Is Monarch forcing him to do it somehow? But how would he even make Félix cooperate like that? His cousin wouldn’t make it easy for him. He certainly wouldn’t be acting like how he is.
(Or in which Félix’s trade with Gabriel goes horribly wrong and everyone eventually suffers for it.)

Ladybug now stands in his room. Her gaze is intense but he can’t tell if it’s necessarily hostile. He’s not sure if he would prefer that or not. At least if it were a fight, he’d know what to expect.
“Félix.” She greets carefully. Félix blinks the sleep out of his eyes, composing himself.
“Ladybug. What did I do to deserve a visit at,” he glances at the time, then shoots her a look, “3AM, apparently.”
“Is Gabriel Agreste Monarch?” She asks immediately. Félix raises an eyebrow.

“Yeah, but if you’re one of Duusu’s past Holders, I really shouldn’t be seeing you right now. Neither of us should.” Plagg shoots a pointed look at Adrien. “I’ve never heard of a broken Kwagatama being used before. We’re in new territory here.”
“Kwagatama…” Recognition flickers in his eyes. “Duusu gave that to me. She didn’t tell me what it was used for though… Is this— am I dead? Or astral projecting somehow?”
“This is a reunion. You’re meant to be the past memories of— whatever Peacock Holder you were. You got a name, kid?”
“…Argos.” He says after a long moment. Some tension leaves him when he says it. “My name was Argos.”
(Or as Adrien deals with all the new changes in his life, including both an identity crisis and becoming a superhero, he meets the mysterious Argos, whose past is unknown even to him, through a reunion with a broken Kwagatama. The mystery only gets more complicated from there.)

Exactly two weeks since they last saw each other, Félix gets a visitor tapping on his window.
The sun is starting to set, causing the light to sparkle on her suit. Her eyes, golden and enchanting, hold affection when she gazes at him, and her mouth curves into a smile that can only be described as relieved.
Ryuko is on his balcony. Félix has never run faster than he has to wrap his arms around her the second he sees her.
(Or Kagami and Félix have to spend some time apart while Kagami sorts things out with her mother. It's their first time truly being apart since the beginning of their relationship and neither of them enjoy it, but that just makes the reunion that much sweeter.)
