Summary
“I’d just like to remind you, baby,” the older man starts, “That this little group project you’ve got going on is going to fail without my help. You will disband. Do you want that? Do you really want to put your members through that?"
“No!” Hyunjin gasps, and there are tears in his eyes now and his heart hurts, hurts, hurts. “No! No, I’m sorry, please, I want— I’ll do it. I’ll do anything. I swear.”
"Come here then. I'll help you with everything that you need." (For a price, of course, and not necessarily a material one.)
Hwang Hyunjin’s downfall starts with a man and a simple offer.

Summary
“You don’t have to shift,” Chan says as he looks back to Hyunjin. “But it would be greatly appreciated, so maybe we could get to know each other a little bit, talk about some things, like…”
“Like why you’ve broken into our house,” Jisung speaks up. He’s wide-eyed and chubby-cheeked and cute. Hyunjin wants to squeeze him. “We could probably start there.”
There's a murmur of agreements, and Hyunjin just knows that he's doomed.
Hyunjin breaks into a seemingly vacant home one day looking for protection and warmth away from the raging Winter season. He eventually gets a lot more than he'd bargained for (like a warm shower and a family.)

Summary
“It’s highly likely that he is. Your packmate’s body will be going through changes during this period, so an ultrasound will be used to corroborate—”
“But Hyunjin is an alpha!”
“From what we’ve seen, your partner is presenting as an omega.”
Normal people don't just present twice in their life, it's practically unheard of. Hyunjin, however, does.

Summary
For three whole years Chan has just been there.
He’s been thirteen and fourteen, fifteen and sixteen, spent countless birthdays alone. He’s had his hair dyed more shades than he can count, he’s worn irritating contacts, and colourful outfits, and he’s sung until his voice cracks painfully, yet it’s still not enough.
It’s still not enough to have him stand out from being anything but a background character - that glimpse in the corner of your eye that you soon forget was ever there in the first place.
Chan enters Korea at 13. He's bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and ready to tackle anything with a blinding smile on his face.
As the years tick by, that smile begins to fade.

Summary
Seungmin stares at Minho, and his heart fractures just a little more. He's shaking, and he's trembling, and his entire world is falling apart around him.
“I love you,” he says, and his voice cracks painfully, “I love you, but you don’t love me.”
(And I don't think that you ever will.)
Seungmin's never going to be a good enough omega for Minho. Not like Hyunjin, or Jisung, or Felix. He just knows it.
