Summary
Seriously, how were these two still even alive?! Well, Cherry can’t die, so that’s one reason, but Pico swears he’s never met someone as stupid as Keith, nor does he believe he ever will in the future. Pico was convinced that the only reason the dude was even capable of a conscious thought was because while he was pissing out all of his brain cells, one got stuck in his dick and couldn't get out. That’s why he thinks with it and not his head.

Summary
That him’s Cherry had died. That him’s Pico was gone, or lost. Keith had been under the impression that Cherry couldn’t die to begin with, and that Pico was strong enough to handle himself. But that fear, that damn fear… What if he was wrong? What if something happened and those things he believed turned out to be fake?
He’d seen how bad off that version of him was without those he loved. That terrified him, more than he wanted to admit.
And even worse, what if it was his fault?

Summary
Pico always found it easier to be alone with Cherry, just because she was so patient and understanding. It took a metric fuck ton of bad choices to get her to actually judge you. Pico would use the words “safe” and “calm” to describe the love he had for her, seemingly returned. He loved Cherry’s hugs and snuggles, the calming kisses to his cheeks and hair she’d give, and he’d been making great progress with his own hang ups that he could actually admit that now. Keith though? Pico felt like exploding with how damn much he wanted to kiss the shit out of this stupid, beautiful, cheeky idiot-

Summary
The song starts with Darnell’s vocals, instantly recognizable by the deep bass-like voice he had. But almost immediately after Darnell starts, it’s Pico’s voice that comes in to join. They’d heard the ginger sing before, but never in a voice like this. His vocals were smooth and confident in a way they’d never heard before, complementing Nene and Darnell perfectly in sync with the instrumental part.
“Holy shit.” Keith gulped, putting his earbud down. “That was so hot.”

Summary
For as long as she could remember, things like music and other sounds would cause her to see eruptions of colors. She’d even thought that everyone saw that for a while, but when she’d asked her parents about it they had shared they don’t have that. Cherry would eventually learn that what she was experiencing was something called ‘Synesthesia’. Where her brain would, in some situations, essentially have two of her senses activate off of each other. So her world would be that much more colorful when she heard things.
It made sense that she was always so drawn to musicians and singers. But on top of music, hers seemed to work the best with people’s laughter as well.

Summary
For so long, when people’s lives were in his hands, they usually ended up cut short by his own gun. Trusting people was dangerous, and trusting him even more so. But Pico’s eyes trailed down to the demonic woman curled in his lap, breathing even and a tiny smile on her lips. He was a killer bought out by money, but with enough sense of loyalty that no matter how many times his past told him not to trust, not to love, he would stick by those who placed their lives in his hands- not because he had a gun, but because they loved him. Maybe he hadn’t realized it as fast as he should have, but Cherry was undoubtedly one of those people. And she deserved the same respect and dedication he originally sought to give to Keith. He knew that now.

Summary
“Boys…” They were so riled up that they wouldn’t even listen to her, the literal victim of the situation. The pair was ridiculous. “I’m fine. I’m okay. I enjoy that my attack dogs are loyal, but I do not need saving right now, okay?”
She led Keith to the couch now, situating herself between him and Pico as they still grumbled and complained about the situation. Rolling her eyes, she called her wings out- one of the rarer features she could make visible- folding them around both of her boys to pull them closer.
“You two are cute. Thank you for sticking up for me."

Summary
Did the world really think him so unworthy to love that it couldn’t just let him breathe? Hadn’t there been enough battles, enough people trying to get rid of him? Can’t Keith just date Cherry and Pico?
He was tired. He was tired of being tested every damn week to prove his worth. Tired of watching his back for the next enemy, tired of worrying about the target on his back he couldn’t remove no matter how hard he tried. So, so tired.

Summary
As much as Pico was making some progress with his struggles with affection, he still had a long way to go. He had his moments of being a completely lovestruck idiot usually convinced out of him by Keith or Cherry being equally as lovestruck first. It was not long ago that Pico wouldn’t even get to that point, so it was progress and he couldn’t deny that. But he was still miles away from being anywhere near where Keith and Cherry were. His partners made it look so damn easy, but his past experiences still held a gun to his head whenever he tried to match their energy.
Pico wanted to. He really wanted to be able to be so forward with his feelings for them.

Summary
Their sleeping arrangements had slowly been getting more and more attached. At the start they kept Pico and Keith’s separate apartments just in case things didn’t work out so well but it was quickly obvious the three were attached to each other at the hip. Even on the days they didn’t actually see each other due to other plans or responsibilities, the next time they did see each other always started with ‘I missed you’. Now that they’d moved in together, it was easier to spend at least a little time together.
The apartment the trio had chosen had more than one bedroom as an added precaution. But for the most part, it was expected that they’d all pile into the same bed. Because yeah, they could sleep on their own, but why would they?

Summary
Mornings like these were Cherry's favorite- where they would wake up and just be nice to each other for the sake of it. Groggy greetings and silly banter tied in between sleepy kisses and cuddles. Slow and comfortable love in a safe atmosphere. She did her best to keep her satisfied purring quiet so she didn’t make Keith fall asleep again, but just loud enough for him to hear she was enjoying his attention.

Summary
His partners were terrified of thunder. It was irrational and they knew realistically the sound couldn’t hurt them- but that was where their minds and bodies disagreed. Pico hated seeing them so upset. Cherry would be paralyzed, eyes filled with tears. Keith would be stuck shaking and unable to speak, fear in his gaze and jaw set so tight his teeth could shatter. Not a single second in these moments where Pico hated the world more watching them be so afraid and he couldn’t do anything to make it go away.
So yes, fuck thunderstorms.

Summary
“Come on, you’re doing this on purpose!’ The ginger whined, covering his face with a hand. “Why is it always me? Can’t you go fluster Cherry instead? I’m not even convinced you can and you just pick me because I’m an easy target!”
“Oh but you looooove it, Peeks. Don’t act like you don’t get incredibly giddy anytime I say something sweet to you. And for the record, I actually can make Cherry blush. You just take no effort to get all red.”
Pico groaned, hauling himself up into a sitting position. “I am not convinced. I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen Cherry blush the entire time I’ve known her.”
“I don’t really get embarrassed like you two do.” Cherry hummed, also sitting up. “Demons can blush, I’ve seen my parents do it. Red is such a cute color on your cheeks, Pico. I know it’s mainly an embarrassment reaction, but it really is cute. Take the compliment.”

Summary
No one else seemed to be here. The sound flooding his ears was almost deafening, wailing for him to sing like he did before. YS wasn’t here, but there were reflections in the shattered mirror that Keith knew all too well. Their faces haunting, voices broken like shards of glass scraping across a hardened surface. Taunting him, admonishing him as he threw all he had into the microphone in his hands. Nothing worked. His voice drowned out by the distorted ones of his partners in the mirror, looking at him with such a disappointment it made his blood freeze.

Summary
Cherry had developed a habit of staying aware whenever either Pico or Keith were out doing something and the other was still home with her. Aware of the way they would hold themselves, slinking off to a different room to try and ride it out with half-assed attempts to comfort themselves that barely ever worked. It was needless suffering that Cherry could only assume was burned into their brains because “men don’t cry”.
Well, fuck that. They could come to her completely hysterical with snot running down their faces and she’d choose that in a heartbeat over them feeling so obligated to suffer alone. Humans and their stupid obsession with standards so ridiculously backwards for the sake of a miserable order. Not in her house.

Summary
That wasn’t even the least of Pico’s problems either. Over the past few months, it was impossible for him to deny any longer- he was still in love with Keith. He knew from the start, but didn’t want to admit it until now. The moment he accepted he couldn’t pull the trigger on the blue-haired man in the face of so much money, in the face of an angry ex-rockstar who was also a literal demon, he knew. Any sane person would have pulled that damn trigger.
No one in love was sane, anyway.
But this was a serious problem, because what the hell was wrong with him? Being so madly in love with someone that wasn’t his anymore? He couldn’t do that to Cherry, she was honestly the sweetest person he’d ever met and he felt so fucking guilty that he was essentially repaying her by wanting her boyfriend.

Summary
They made Pico feel safe. Their arms were a home he hadn’t realized he’d needed. Warm, loving, soft. Silly and fuzzy feelings he had gone so long without letting himself feel. He really had become something of a lap dog for the two, but how could you blame him? Cherry gave the most wonderful hugs, doubling as a personal heater being a demon. And Keith, he liked giving bear-hugs that could squeeze the breath out of you in the best way.

Summary
Silly moments within the three’s apartment was not a rare occurrence- it was probably the most common thing to find in the space. Living together allowed them to be unabashedly happy about life secluded in the private walls where they’d only see it. The window blinds were slanted down, meaning that while no one could see in or out, the warm light from the evening golden hour spilled in and illuminated the room in the silky color. It had rained a little earlier, the faint smell of petrichor still lingering in the apartment from it. Safe to say, the vibes were up and immaculate.
“You calling me silly?” Keith asked with a grin, continuing on with his uncoordinated dance moves in the middle of the living room. “She’s calling me a silly billy! She is!”

Summary
Keith watched his boyfriend’s lips spread into a goofy smile. Oh, he loved the ginger’s smile. One of the almost endless endearing things about him. Especially the cute tooth gap he sported, only visible with the wider smiles. He’d been practicing ways to pull those types of smiles out more so he could keep seeing it. However, the shorter man had also been noticing a problem that started occurring alongside it- now being no exception.
“Why are you doing that, Peeks?” He questioned gently as Pico quickly moved his free hand up to cover his growing smile. “Is this a new thing? I haven’t really seen you do this until recently.”

Summary
Cherry smiled wickedly at herself in the mirror, fangs sticking out mischievously to match her tongue. She wasn’t in her usual outfit, the red dress being in the laundry for a wash. There were a lot of benefits to being a demon with magic, but even the magic couldn’t save clothes from needing a physical wash every once and awhile. So, she was in something else. An outfit she hadn’t found herself wearing in awhile, but now that it was back on, she remembered why. It was cute, but goodness, the last time she went out in this it was chaos to make it through the day without everyone staring at her.
Cherry knew she was drop-dead gorgeous and wasn’t afraid to admit that, not at all. That level of attention was just a little unsettling from people she didn’t know. Pico and Keith though? Oh she was absolutely going to mess with them for as long as they could handle. God forbid a girl have a little fun.
