Summary
The altar room was silent except for his quiet sobs. He was hunched over hugging himself. He’d only moved from the hassock to curl in on himself easier. His forehead is pressed against the stone floor as if in reverently humble prayer. His arms hugged his stomach to avoid falling completely apart. Shota knew he needed to move, but he couldn’t find the strength yet to get up. He’d spent so long begging every saint he could think of just to save his lover’s life. He didn’t expect any true or tangible response to his efforts, but he had still offered penance and sacrifice. Both hands burned where the metal of the rosary had torn his skin and still bled slowly. Nearly every bead on the rosary was now marred with with his sacrifice to the saints.

After a raid gone wrong, Hizashi is in surgery for severe injuries and Shota is left to beg for a miracle.

Summary
There was so much he wanted to say while he had this adrenaline to give him courage. Yet despite the adrenaline, he felt himself frozen again, just like before in the hospital.
“Shouto?” Izuku looked at the boy with concern. He’d noticed Shouto was acting differently, but chalked it up to the rescue mission. He threw a glance back at their friends, watching as Katsuki threatened to explode Eijiro’s face when the redhead tried to kiss him. “We did it, don’t worry. I know you’re worried about me, about our friends, but we did it. We got him back.”
“Oi! Deku, Half-n-Half! Let’s go before someone else tries to kill us. Faster, or I’ll explode you both!” Eijiro’s laugh cut through the half-threat of his boyfriend. Katsuki’s palms sparked with more threats towards Eijiro. “Shut up, shitty hair!”
Izuku moved to join their friends again, but Shouto grabbed his wrist quickly. “Tomorrow. Come with me to the Shinto shrine by the hospital. Please.” He couldn’t tell him now. This wasn’t about him tonight, this was about Katsuki and making sure their friend was safe.
The green haired boy paused. “Of course."
