Challenged myself to make something for one of my favorite ships.
This is a re-telling of the fairy tale, Rapunzel, with an Entrapdak spin on it. Honestly, it was meant to be a much shorter one shot, that followed the structure of the Grimm’s tale more closely, but then it took on a life of its own and now here we are.There was once in the kingdom of Dryl a royal couple dedicated to the discipline of science who were recently blessed with a daughter named Entrapta. These kings were fascinated by the garden where a peculiar sorceress practiced her craft and unwittingly fall into a bargain they were not prepared to make.
Alone in her tower deep within the Whispering Woods, Entrapta spends her days building machines whose purpose is unclear to her. Until Lord Hordak decides it's time to keep a closer eye on the activities of his less than trustworthy advisor.Series

Summary
Fine As Spun Lilac was so fun to write that I set up a poll on Tumblr to see if there was interest in an Entrapdak fairy tale series and to see what I should try next. Cinderella won. However, the Cinderella tale type is vast, and I treated it more like a grab bag of tropes from the ATU Fairy Tale Index.
In all the years Lord Prime had reigned as emperor, he had only taken one empress. It was many lifetimes ago. Before she died, she made one last request of him. And because he felt generous towards her, he swore at her behest that should he decide to marry again, it would only be to someone more beautiful, more accomplished, and more cunning than she. Confident in her own qualities, the late empress was convinced she had bound him in an oath never to wed another and died satisfied. After that, he thought little of his promise other than to view it as an amusing challenge. Until he comes face to face with Entrapta, and unfortunately for her, she meets the requirements. But she's far from helpless. She and the princesses call upon an old tradition to stall Prime's proposal and buy time to stop him. And so the game begins. But where is Hordak? And why study time so closely?

I got a request from a very kind commenter to try Red Riding Hood next in my Once Upon A Lab Partner series. This is my attempt at it. I fear it may not be exactly what they wanted, but I hope they like it. It's different from the others in the sense that this is more like two one-shots inspired by the same fairy tale.

Summary
When Glimmer and Bow are captured by the Horde, Catra thinks she knows just what will lure Adora back home. A trade. They will agree to release their prisoners so long as one of the other princesses willingly takes their place. She thought it was foolproof. For all the boasting the princesses made about the bonds of friendship, in truth, their connections were quite shallow. Weren't they? Only Adora would be self-sacrificial enough to agree to it. Right? Unfortunately for Catra, things do not go as planned. Entrapta volunteers instead, and she takes a very keen interest in the forbidden sanctum and the warlord whose fate was unknowingly tied to hers long ago.
An Entrapdak Beauty and the Beast retelling as requested.
