Summary
“Anniversary of what?” Eddie asked, unable to keep the amused smile of his lips.
Buck’s smile didn’t falter as he made his way over to the bench. He sat down heavily next to Eddie on the bench, letting his duffel bag fall from his shoulder with a soft thump. He pressed the white box into Eddie’s hand, leaving no choice but for the single father to take it.
“I don’t know,” Buck shrugged easily. “Pick something.”

“Should have answered me then,” Eddie said.
Buck rolled his eyes and moved towards the fridge. “I was a little late in texting you, big deal. Besides, I have company.”
Silence rang on the other end of the phone. Buck pulled out two beers, placing them on the bench. He frowned when there was no response. “Eddie?”

Summary
Eddie was in the middle of checking the fire engine inventory with Brian when he caught a figure out the corner of his eyes. They’re dressed in the same uniform as himself, standing in the middle of the bay with a clipboard in his hand, the sunlight that was filtering in glinting off soft looking curls. When Eddie turned to get a better look, he found that nobody was standing there.
Blinking, Eddie shook his head and got back to work.
Just a trick of the light, Eddie thought to himself. Still getting used to the hours, that’s all.

In the middle of the table was a pile of cheesy Dorito chips that they were using instead of money. The game had started halfway through their shift. Whenever they had down time, they had returned to it. The bell had yet to go and they were taking advantage of the spare time.
