But, it already sucks, because Lucy isn't welcome and, yep, Kara's been delayed and how the hell did this end up being Alex, her daughter, one half of her relationship, and her mother alone in a beach house with nowhere to hide?
And just when Alex had accepted her stressed, awkward, fate, she runs into an old... friend? crush? Girl who stopped talking to her after The Events and is now inviting her to a reunion of high school drama? Sure. Why not.
One of my older, more contained stories that never found an ending, so I never posted what I'd prepared. It is one of my less intense plots though, so there is hope.

The “museum,” such as it was, was actually closer to a single installation hosting and cataloguing all the artefacts discovered whilst digging the foundations for the new building. Being as the building stood at an old Roman crossroads, which later became a Norman market square, as well as a frequent gallows, there were all sorts of odds and sods and bits and bobs to unearth. The building’s owners received some sort of tax offset for installing public space within the possible lobby footprint, and so there was a free-admission exhibit of the flotsam and jetsam. Susie herself had even advised on the curation and display of the pieces.
“There are literal skeletons in closets, Susie!”
“In that case, I have some terrible news for you about the Tube, Edward.”
“Well, obviously, but-”

My canon-ish take on the 25 days of Wenclair prompts (by canon-ish I mean that I will steal bits of canon as I please - that is all).
