Summary
Dick sighed, pulled the cowl back, and scrubbed his hands over his face. He routed the Batmobile’s autopilot and fished his phone out of the middle console before freezing.
(4:29 AM)
From - Damian
Are you opposed to cats?
Dick’s brain could only bring a few things to mind after reading that.
First, no, he did not mind cats at all. That led him to his second thought: was Damian reaching out because he wanted a cat, or because he already had one?

Summary
Damian left the kitchen, turning into the hallway and beginning down it, passing his bathroom and bedroom to stand in front of the master bedroom at the end of the hall. The door was slightly ajar and was pushed all the way open as Damian and Alfred entered.
“Grayson?” Damian called, stepping towards the en-suite bathroom and looking inside.
Also empty.
Damian turned around, marching back to the living room, barely glancing down as Alfred sped past him. He quickly made it to the elevator, staring at the empty hook for Grayson’s key ring.
When had he left?

Summary
Damian had always been private. Only recently had he begun to truly open up to Dick about personal things, and they were coming up on a year of Dick taking him in. They were at the point where Damian wasn’t hiding injuries, so Dick had assumed that if, let’s say, it was flu season and Damian had caught it, he would have mentioned it.
But no. Damian had put on a brave face for two days, and Dick was none the wiser until Damian had quickly stood up off the couch so Dick could drive him to school, and would have collapsed to the floor if Dick hadn’t caught him mid-fall.

Summary
Dick turned on his heel to peer into the kitchen, which hadn’t fared much better. The trash can was overturned, the contents dragged out of it, and spread out between the two rooms. The stack of mail on the counter had been thrown everywhere, and the placemats on top of the table were all on the floor as well.
Accompanying everything she had knocked over and torn up was Alfred, who was lying out amid her crime scene. Surrounded by ribbons of shredded paper towels, she stared up at Dick with giant yellow eyes.

Summary
Whilst the files were being compiled, Barbara had turned to ask Dick a question, but stopped short when taking a good look at his suit.
As usual, the batsuit was dark, scary, and looked lethal. However, her attention was on the speckles that kept catching in the light.
The cape was covered in cat hair, and if Dick shifted the right way, she could just make out other clusters of hair stuck in between straps of armor and pieces of Kevlar. One particularly stubborn tuft had lodged itself right in the center of the bat emblem.
