Summary
Warmth. Pure, enveloping warmth. He listened as his darling continued, words tumbling forth in that eager, antiquated cadence. He wanted more. He wanted to keep hearing that voice forever.
At that moment, Rien almost found himself wishing how wonderful it would be if a prescript were to appear, one that demanded he keep Don Quixote by his side for the rest of his life. He nearly entertained the thought of holding the man there by his own hand, binding him forever within the spiderweb he so carefully spun.
Pick up a knife and stab a familiar warm body.
Ah… how utterly vile he was.

Summary
Given that Prescripts were created from the day-to-day of City citizens, the Prescripts of the Index were thought to be generated from the people’s wish for a direction in life, following the ‘Will of the City’ itself…
He looked down at it again, the corner of his lips curving faintly upward.
So this absurdly specific prescript might exist because of his own desire? Did he want it that badly? The odds were vanishingly small, yet not impossible. Still, in the end, it hardly mattered.
He almost… liked this one.
‘To Rien, fuck a bloodfiend. Deadline irrelevant.’
What a truly splendid day it was when one’s beloved was a First Kindred.

Summary
At first glance they were ordinary roses, but between the velvet layers of each petal, tiny glints of light flickered…eyes, countless watchful eyes, peering out.
Gazes he found terribly familiar.
Those were eyes gleaming with boundless yearning, no different from the gazes of his long-dead family when they thirsted for blood.
They did not crave slaughter, nor did they wish to harm.
Those creatures… merely longed for the taste of blood.
His fingers brushed the velvety petal of a rose.
Roses truly suited bloodfiends.
Five times Don Quixote thought of leaving the web that bound him.
And one time he decided to stay.

Summary
Damn. Damn.
He couldn’t endure it anymore. Just as he was about to pin the bloodfiend down and devour him outright, a gentle index finger pressed against his lips.
“Lie still, Rien. Be good.”
The amber eyes of the white-haired proxy narrowed. His teeth clenched faintly, veins rising along his skin. Yet in the end, he did not move.
“Whatever you want, darling.” He rasped.
Like a leashed dog finally feeling the tug of the collar. Resistance wasn’t an option when the hand on the other end belonged to a certain someone else.
Can bloodfiends get drunk?
An intriguing question, indeed.

Summary
Be it you, who will disappear someday,
Or be it me, who will disappear someday,
In this life, we live with high expectations. To be together, a pair of two. Is that what we all wish for?
The cloak of the Index was white. Blood was a deep gray. Flesh, a pale gray. And the sky was utterly black.
In that case, red was the only hue vast enough to contain our madness.
