Summary
He had dragged himself this far. Or been dragged. The details refused to settle.
One moment he had been cutting through a neck the size of a carriage, the next the ground had risen up and struck him, and something in his leg had given way with a wet, grinding snap that still echoed behind his eyes.
Now the limb lay useless, bent wrong beneath the ruin of his trousers, bone pressing white against skin that had already begun to purple. Every shallow breath sent a fresh spike of white pain up through his hip and into the base of his spine. He did not make a sound. Sound was a luxury for people who still believed someone might answer.
Or: Levi gets hurt during a mission and Eren helps him feel better.

Summary
He knew how Levi valued the invisible boundaries of his own body, the way certain proximities could tighten something inside him like a drawstring pulled too tight.
Eren respected that. He always had, from the very first awkward conversations weeks ago when they had still been circling each other like cautious animals testing the edges of a shared territory.
Or: movie night where they grow a bit closer and cuddle.

Summary
His arm tightened fractionally, drawing Levi more completely into the cradle of his body, and the smaller man allowed it without protest, settling back against the solid heat of Eren’s chest as though he had always belonged exactly there, as though the years of distance and duty and expectations had never once stood between them.
Levi’s voice came quiet, almost reluctant, cutting through the low murmur of the television. “You’re falling asleep.”
Eren’s answer was muffled against the side of Levi’s neck, words blurred by the press of his mouth, the vibration of each syllable traveling through skin and muscle. “M’not.” He nuzzled closer, nose dragging lightly along the ridge of a vertebra, lips brushing the warm column of the throat with every careful syllable. “Just… comfortable. M’not tired.”
Or: Sleepy cuddles at night on the couch where they end up falling asleep in each other’s arms, and wake up together.

Summary
Levi knew it was a bad day the exact second consciousness reclaimed him, sliding into his brain like a rusted blade dragged slow and deliberate across the soft meat of an exposed nerve. It was not a gradual realization, nor was it the typical, sluggish fog of sleep clearing away to reveal the world; it was a sudden, crushing certainty, a heavy iron weight planted squarely in the center of his chest that made every shallow attempt at breathing feel like a chore, a mechanical failure of lungs that had inhaled too much dust and too much death.
Or: levi is having a bad day, and eren tries his best to be comforting—helping more than he perhaps even realizes.
