Summary
In a world without magic, names still carry weight.
Alibaba has always believed he was ordinary. He grew up running from trouble, sharing cheap meals with Aladdin, and learning how to survive without asking for too much. Morgiana learned early not to trust anything that promised permanence. Sinbad was simply the man who noticed when kids were about to fall through the cracks.
Years later, a single voicemail ties Alibaba to sealed documents, buried money, and a father he barely remembers. What begins as a legal curiosity becomes a quiet danger, forcing three young people to navigate inheritance, surveillance, and systems designed to erase as much as they reveal.
This is a modern AU of Magi where there are no djinn and no rukh, only the question of what remains when magic is gone.

The Magi’s smile didn’t falter, it shattered. His arm slowly lowered, and for the first time in a long while, he looked… speechless. Like he’d just been slapped by the wind itself.
Kouha leaned toward his older brother and whispered in awe, “Oh no… She broke our Judar.”
Kouen, unsurprisingly, looked far too entertained.
(Kenda dreamed of adventure like Sinbad. What she finds instead is the cost of stories: buried pain, rigged empires, broken families, enslaved bloodlines, and the knowledge that she can’t just run in and swing a sword anymore. She has to choose: who she will be in history.)

Twenty-year old Judar starves for belonging and recognition after living in his little brother's shadow ever since Aladdin had been born. After voicing his frustration and anger towards a life he curses and an adoptive family that never sees him, Judar accidentally crosses into an unseen realm, a world ruled by parasitic enchantress Gyokuen, who drowns Judar in luxury and worship while Aladdin tries to bring them both back home into their world. Clinging to the power offered to him and ignoring Hakuryuu’s warnings, he learns true strength isn’t seized—it’s forged in Hakuryuu’s steadfast grip, in Aladdin’s unbroken faith, in the realization that home isn’t a place in any world, but a reason to do the right thing.
