But the Targaryens weren’t always these powerful dragonriders whom no one dared to question, and they certainly aren’t the only ones who can fly a dragon. Though I must admit, it is through their blood, the blood of the dragon, that makes such a connection to a dragon possible, but despite the Targaryens´ traditions of marrying inside the family, sometimes, there just aren’t enough family members to choose from, and even the Targaryens knows that to make good lasting alliances, one needs to marry outside the family, and that is where I come in.
