Her innermost desires awaken under his touch, bloom under the soft brush of his warm hand along her ribs, along the growing swell of her breast. He licks over her lips, breathes his air into her as he pulls away, and Tsumiki comes alive, a flower reaching full blossom as his hands slide to rest on the subtle curve of her hips.

Tsumiki knows being a sorcerer is dangerous. Despite Megumi and Gojo’s best efforts, they could not protect her from that knowledge. They never admitted it to her face, of course, but she can see it in their eyes. She can see it in the amount of training Gojo has made Megumi do, and in their hesitancy to speak about anything jujutsu-related when she’s around.
Tsumiki is not stupid. She knows sorcerers regularly die on missions, and she knows that Kirara and Hakari only being students does not guarantee survival.
She knows that every mission Kirara is sent on could possibly be their last.

The next evening, Megumi was late again but less than before. He panted as he set the table and his cheeks were still painted pink when they ate. He was covered in scrapes and bruises too, so when he said he would ‘help her more’, she replied flatly, “Sit down, we need to talk.”
Megumi’s lips pressed together in a displeased line but he obeyed.
“It’s okay to be upset.” She grabbed his elbows lest he tried to leave. “It’s okay to be angry too - but I want you to stop fighting!”
“There are people following me," he blurted out.
“What?"

He couldn’t have been much older than her. His face was still smooth and unlined save for a thin scar tracing a curve under his right eye. His eyes were a most remarkable shade of green, framed with thick, dark lashes that inspired both envy and marvel in her. His hair was like ink, slicked back, so perfect that Tsumiki itched to run her fingers through it. Her gaze dropped briefly to his hand—he wasn’t wearing a wedding band.
Her gaze skittered away but he had already noticed.
“See something you like?”
It was exactly the kind of thing a creep would say - Tsumiki knew them all too well - if it wasn’t for the way the man’s ears reddened and his eyes shifted away in embarrassment. The apology finally came, quiet and rough, muttered just under his breath.
The bar suddenly felt too warm. In a sudden surge of boldness, she replied, “Yes, but I’m leaving soon.”
Nothing changed in his expression but Tsumiki knew he understood. “I’ll walk you.”

Tsumiki wanted to run. She wanted to run so far, and so hard that her lungs collapsed in on themselves and her knees buckled beneath her. Run away from her family line, her life, the legacy her last name carried.
But it didn’t matter how far Tsumiki ran, or at least wanted to, because she’d always be followed by the shadow of guilt of everything and everyone she left behind to rot.

But when she does, she thinks his eyes are the most beautiful jewels she’s ever laid eyes upon (she has never seen a jewel in real life, but she knows they would look exactly like Gojō’s eyes). But his eyes always look so empty; he looks far off into a place she can’t see.
Why does he look so sad?
Megumi comes home one day with a stranger who tells them that he’s their guardian from now on. Tsumiki doesn’t trust him. He looks like a conman with his navy blue uniform and tiny black sunglasses that barely cover his eyes. Megumi is being conned! Tōji-san, where are you?!
