Summary
When Prince Ozai dies in battle, Prince Lu Ten takes his place as a father and husband to the shock of everyone but the masterminds behind it. This brings about a better change of fate for Lady Ursa and a worse one for the world.

Father’s back stays turned. He picks up a brush, writes a note.
“Father,” Zuko repeats, louder this time. “I am your son. Please listen to me.” He can feel the tears coming up again, and fights to hold them back. “Father!” he shouts, slightly shocked at himself. He’s never raised his voice at his father before.Or: 5 times Zuko screams from a bad emotion, and 1 time he screams from a good one ;)

Summary
There were always stories, myths, rumors about a special kind of warriors in the South. Warriors turning into great wolves to protect their tribe. But when Iroh and Lu Ten get aware of a child in the prison tower, those rumors seem to have more truth to them than they had anticipated. Seeing the treatment of the boy, they want to get him out of there. Zuko could need a friend after all.

Summary
Lu Ten survived this Seige of Ba Sing Sei and lives to witness Ozai almost using his son as a human sacrifice to Agni. He can intervine just in time and they decide to run away together. Lu Ten has to raise Zuko as his own and make sure nobody can ever hurt him again.

Summary
Azulon meets his son’s glare head on. “This sacrifice is not only for Agni, but for our people. Morale is gone, it is time for us in the palace to place our lot with peasants. Bender or not the prince must die, for a god, and for the people.”
Understanding seems to come to Ursa and Ozai at the same time. Horror crosses Ursa’s face and she reaches for her husband's sleeve digging labor broken nails into the silk.
“Ozai, we cannot lie to a god.”
Ozai shakes her off, “A god that let his chosen people suffer. Father is right, we are at war, the loss of a son will show our people how we tried and lost as much as them.”
Ursa shakes her head, chest heaving, “We cannot lie to a god.”
“I don’t care about a god.” Ozai leans down to look his wife in the eyes, touches her face like she is something that held value and now sits on the shelf of an antique store. “Let the people’s anger be on the god when our efforts fail.”
“If he does not bend,” Azulon muses, bringing the baby back to the cradle in his arms, “then he does not bend, but that mustn't escape the palace walls.”
Azulon hands Ozai his son and Zuko wails like he has been set ablaze.
Or, Zuko was born to save the Fire Nation.

Their defeat in Ba Sing Se left the two cousins being seperated once again. While Zuko managed to escape with his friends/found family, Lu Ten made a sacrifice to go back to the palace.
Pretending to have switched sides, he tries to gather information to help his friends, without his evil Uncle Firelord Ozai to suspect a thing.
Now Lu Ten and Zuko are back in the Firenation, their old home, but under two completly diffrent circumstances. But both have the same goal:
Stop Ozai and seeing each other again.

Summary

At 10 years old, Zuko was almost sacrificed to a God by his own father, but his Big cousin Lu Ten saved him just in time. He grew up at the Southpole and befriended the Chief's children Sokka and Katara. Now, after their epic adventure on the Northpole the Gaang takes of to the Earthkingdom, while being chased by a new but yet also familiar enemy.
Meanwhile Lu Ten and Iroh are finally reunited and head off to find a special someone for the young Prince.

During one of Zuko's middle-of-the-night palace wanderings, he accidentally stumbled upon a secret passage that leads to a cell containing one very much alive Lu Ten.
That was two weeks ago. Iroh and Zuko are delighted, and Sokka is delighted that they're delighted.
Only problem is? Sokka and Lu Ten do not get along.
At all.... Until an assassination attempt comes a little too close to success, leaving Zuko badly injured.
It turns out Sokka and Lu Ten get along pretty well when they're going on a roadtrip across the Fire Nation to hunt down the person who almost killed their precious turtleduck.
