Surrounded by starlight, the splintered water spirit turned into teardrops, and as the tears fell back down, far away from each other, the starlight that refracted through the teardrops gave all of them their own distinct colour.
When the six coloured tears fell to the earth, they became gemstones. And because of the water spirit’s memories that still lingered in each of them, the gemstones awakened and wandered the world in the image of humans, forever seeking something to fill the emptiness in their hearts because of what they had lost.

The Iliad“How terrible it is to belong to a place that you can never return to,” is all I think since I tumbled off from the pinnacle of that stage. Once everything has been robbed of you, you can only eat anguish like food, apathy and longing intertwining so tightly in that heart of yours. Like morsels of meaning I return to the scripts, pouring over these words nourishing me with the knowledge that yes, someone too has felt this before. This terrible, unending, aching following me from one season to the next.
The beauty of theatre is that even my anguish may become worthwhile on the stage. I know it well, and I think they do too. These actors of mine I hope may bloom. -
