"Lord Waxillium does not make a habit of arriving late to his appointments. When he is late, he is either engaging in his hobbies,” Steris's gaze flickered over Wayne, a clear accusation, “or it is because he wishes to be late.”
Reckon the Ice Queen has got a rustin’ chart about Wax’s lateness, Wayne thought, but didn’t say it. Wax had told Wayne to stop with that, and Wayne felt it was important to honor a man’s dying wish. Even if the dying man had been miraculously brought back to life by a magic rock. Especially then, maybe.
