"Maybe my powers are broken...," the injured blonde is perplexed, looking down at her hands. The next moment, she finds herself beside Irina and puts her hand on her shoulder.
"AH!" - Irina shrieks, turning sharply to her sister, who is no longer around her. "Fucking hell! Come here, you lousy girl," she rushes off in pursuit of Kate.
"Please forgive us for our first impression," Tanya tries to justify herself.
-----"Tanya?" - Irina asks uncertainly.
"It's just... She's so young, and so smart... And I love smart so much...", Tanya utters a little dreamily. All because as soon as Rosalie heard the sounds and words from Tanya, she was immediately behind her mate's back. She hugged Bella, one arm around her waist, the other on her chest, just below her neck. Then, she literally dragged her mate away from where she stood.
-----"Well, Rose offered to get rid of me when I was just starting to get an inkling of their supernatural family. So, she showed concern about the matter...", Bella starts to justify her mate, but gradually falls silent as she watches the whole clan stare at her and Rose in mute shock. "Baby...," Rose says slightly pitifully, hiding her face in the brown-haired girl's neck.
"What?" - Bella was genuinely perplexed. "It's what Tanya was talking about, isn't it?"
"Rosalie, did you really offer to get rid of your potential mate?" - Carmen speaks aloud the thoughts of those around her. There is no judgement in her voice, only shock and surprise.
"I didn't know then that she could be my mate!" -

“It just got better.” She responds, momentarily biting her lower lip.
“A big fan of snow?” Asks a nervous Bella, her heart rate quickly speeding up.
“Not particularly.” Responds Alice nonchalantly as her own eyes snap to glare at Bella’s lips just long enough to be noticed.
“So why did your day get better?” Asks Bella genuinely unsure of the answer, but obviously hopeful.
“Well, I’m currently talking to this girl I met just last week.” Responds Alice, afraid she will be unable to keep this up much longer.
Bella’s face turns practically crimson, and her eyes go wide in disbelief. Alice watches as her brain practically crashes and reboots in a matter of seconds at what to her seems to be shocking news.

“Of course, Rose.” The nickname came so naturally I didn't even catch myself. “I think if that version of you had shown up to our date, I’d probably be in your bed right now.”“Don’t test me, Bella. I can cut my hair at any moment.”
Her words made me laugh. For some reason, I found her as charming as she was funny, and a large part of me absolutely loved that.
