Beelzebub finished their work no faster or slower because of it, although they were still acutely aware of exactly what time it was. To be precise, it was 4:32 in the evening, approximately half an hour before they would be done with their work for the day, truly finished or not, if they were in Hell.
Beelzebub wants something done. Gabriel doesn't do it. They compromise; it gets done, and then they have sex.
