Summary
When his eldest son was only six, Kevan Lannister realized that he needed to be fostered out or risk turning into a new version of his own father Tytos - soft, weak, and easily manipulated. While Kevan had originally planned to send his son to the King as a page and then a squire, a letter from Cersei convinced Kevan that Robert Baratheon was no longer the renowned warrior he had once been. Instead of King's Landing, then, young Lancel Lannister was sent to learn the true values of knighthood and chivalry as the squire of Selywn Tarth, the Evenfall.
Now a man grown and knighted, Lancel has been summoned to the capital by King Robert. He may lack in wit, but his honor, strength, and charm will help see him through the dangers and pitfalls of politics in the Red Keep.

Summary
Fifty years ago, a young Rickard Stark chose to focus his ambitions on his own lands – seizing on a chance invention in Barrowton to build out a new world of coal, smoke, and steel. The great machines bring with them prosperity and advancement, but a lack of alliances leaves Winterfell standing alone when forces from the south steal their favored daughter. Embittered but unwilling to start a losing war over the insult, the Lord of Winterfell retreats even further into his own lands.
Now King Rhaegar is dead at last, and his son Aegon VI crowned as King – a sickly young man, raised by the faith, and no friend to the North. Deep in the new King’s confidence is a charismatic High Septon whose tenure has been marked by religious fervor and a new wave of intolerance.
Rickard Stark and the North must face down the crown once again, and this time they may have no choice but to fight.

Summary
Zuko does not notice when the Water Tribe girl first stirs. She is staring at his face — his scar — but strangely it is only when he faces her head-on that she is afraid.
She is the first person who ever flinches at his right side instead of his left.
He begins his interrogation at once. Uncle has dozed off, thankfully. If he knew she was awake, he would slow things down by offering tea. Still, Zuko is not a total barbarian. He thrusts the lukewarm tea in the girl’s direction. She looks around wildly, no doubt disoriented by her surroundings and Zuko presses his advantage.
“Where is the Avatar?”
A canon-divergent tale: Katara must protect the newly-found Avatar from a Fire Nation Prince, although he is not quite who she expected. But Katara has plenty of secrets of her own...
