This is SUCH a good story...the way the flashbacks and memories and feelings blend together and overlap, worse when exhausted or in pain...and this merges All The Trauma so that it hits hard in The Worst Times, until Olivia can't keep all the pieces in order *in front of someone*.

Amanda finds an old cassette tape from about 4 years into Liv and Elliot's partnership...and catches a glimpse of who Olivia was then and how MUCH Elliot's departure hurt and changed her. In the present, Amanda gets a glimpse of Liv and Elliot *almost* recapturing some of that camaraderie. Really excellent, well-written piece with outstanding characterization and dialogue that sounds perfect from way back then and from now. Astute descriptions of the body language as they interact as well.
