Summary
Captured by the Gur, Astarion finds himself bound in ropes and iron—interrogated, starved, and stripped bare. His only reprieve comes from you, a girl raised by the tribe but never quite at home in it. Kindness can seep deeper than cruelty, but freedom always comes with a price—sometimes, it’s the heart that bleeds first.
“…Thank you.” he whispers after taking a sip. The words barely stir the air.
You settle beside the cage, arms wrapped around your knees, firelight dancing on the ground between you.
For a while, neither of you speaks. Then, softly, you ask:
“How are you?”
He lets out a breath of a laugh. Hollow. Dry. Splintered.
“As well as one can be, passed like cargo from one captor to the next.”
You glance at his trembling hands as he lifts the cup.
“…The voice…” you murmur. “Is it still there?”
He nods once.
“Stronger now. The closer we draw to the city, the louder he gets. And I’m… tired. Starving. He claws at the back of my mind like a wild thing trying to crawl through. I can barely hold him back.”
You rise, determined.
“I’ll be back.”

Summary
Hornet woke in the Black Egg Temple to the sight of her sibling's fractured mask. For the walk from the temple's central chamber to its exit, she thought herself truly alone in the world once more.
When Hollow followed her out, she realized that wasn't so. But now she has to try and take care of her older sibling as they recuperate and learn to live in a world where they do not have to be pure, figure out what to do about what Little Ghost left of a body, and try to piece together two kingdoms which fell long ago.
Life keeps throwing her surprises, too, which does not help.
(Post-Dream No More ending, though it's fudged and mixed with the Godseeker endings some. Characters and tags will be updated as more chapters are posted.)

Summary
As the Tarnished entered the dark room, feet padding softly across the cold stone floor, a voice rang out in the darkness.
"Mongrel intruder."
She stopped in her tracks, trying to puzzle out where the voice was coming from. Gaze drifting about the room, she turned to try and find its owner in the dim light. A soft sound caught her attention, and she turned back to see gentle candlelight whorl into shape about her, revealing a grand, circular room, adorned with candles at every turn.
Captured by the sudden light, she barely noticed the small, red serpent, drifting out toward her. As a flash of red slithered just out of her vision, she spun about quickly, only to come face-to-face with the serpent barely inches from her nose.
"Thou'rt Tarnished, it seemeth."
Mea, a Tarnished of no renown, finds herself in the jaws of a villain. What ensues would leave her indelibly scarred for the remainder of her years, though the memories would soon turn into something precious she kept close to her heart.

Summary
"You wanna psychoanalyze me?” he whispered, voice curling against your skin like smoke. “Crack me open, see what makes a monster tick?” He laughed softly, the sound more sin than humor. “Or maybe you just wanna ride the line a little. Get close. Pretend it’s for work, for research, for Jed... but really?” His mask brushed your jaw, featherlight. “You’re chasing the thrill.”
His hand slid down your side, leather palm gliding slow and easy down your shirt, fingers lingering just a second too long.
“You want the danger,” he said, voice thick, teasing. “You want it to look like a study—while you let the monster under your skin and wonder how deep he’ll go.”
