Summary
He’s lost in wondering whether it’d be appropriate or not to ask her where exactly the sonuva bitch lives, and what barracks he’s camped in, that he doesn’t realize she’s speaking until a moment later. Until the words: “I can’t pay, but I can—I do have—I can do something else.”
And then the world comes crashing down between them, blood rushing in his ears as he stares, understanding and yet unwilling to reckon with, the reality of what she’s offering. Can tell by the flush on her cheeks and the way that she’s trying not to squirm in her seat that this isn’t exactly her go-to method of payment, that it’s taking a not inconsiderable amount of courage for her to stay where she’s sitting. It’s that fact alone that keeps him from spluttering and showing her the way out.
She takes his silence as compliance, it seems, because she’s scooting a little closer in her seat, honeyed eyes fixed on him as though he holds the key to her salvation.
“Please. I really need my car; I need this job to work out, and I can’t do it without a vehicle.”

Summary
The hand loosened enough that she could breathe. Could speak. Barely. “Just t-take what you want and leave. Please.”
Lips Sarah instantly recognized, ones that had sampled every inch of her flesh, traced the shell of her ear and then parted to let uneven teeth scrape. “I intend to.”
She actually relaxed before she immediately tensed again, half-wishing it had been something as benign as a burglar. “Why are you here?”
“I thought we just established that.” Her pulse beat frantically against the solid presence of his knife. Jareth twisted it slightly, not enough to cut the skin but to let her know he could. “You so cordially invited me to take what I wanted after all.”
Once that line was crossed, it was already too late... Sarah should have killed the Goblin King when she had her chance.

Summary
“The consummation, no, that was not ‘fun.’ I have lived too long and done too much for mere physical release to be ‘fun.’ But it was necessary to seal the marriage, and you agreed to it… Every other time, I waited for you to seek me out. And I found that infinitely more rewarding.”
