Tom paused before glancing over. “Do I make you feel miserable?”
Charles thought about it. “Not yet.”
“I might. I make myself feel miserable sometimes,” he admitted sadly.
As Tom stared and thumbed over the callouses on his palms, he heard Charles’ chair scootch towards him. Now he and Charles were practically knee-to-knee.

Charles sets out to turn Adam's abandoned Eden into a proper farm and thus enlists the help of Tom Hamilton. The two find that they have a deeper understanding about each other than they realize.
