The gay bits thrill him, and they’re just about universal. But the vampires of fiction seem to fill the millennia by obsessing over middle-class white women and piling-up luxuries. Well, so many humans are just as unimaginative, so maybe it’s just the same dull appetites on a longer timescale.”
