Summary
Eddie is wearing panties—lingerie, actually—underneath his clothes to the bar with the entire 118. No one knows, but he's hoping if he plays his cards right, that maybe one person will see them tonight.
He's set everything up perfectly. He made sure Chris had plans for tonight, he cleaned the house, he bought condoms (though he hopes he won't have to use them) and lube, and of course he put on the lingerie beneath his regular clothes. And he picked the loosest, butchest clothes he has, loving the duality of it—the pretty lacy bralette and panties hiding where no one else can see them, no one else knows it's there.
Or: Eddie has a plan to get Buck to fuck him stupid. That's not all that happens that night.

From behind his back, Chris reveals his old, ratty Superman logo shirt. It’s way too small for him now, but, for some reason, he’s never thrown it away.
“This shirt has superpowers,” he whispers to Theo. "It keeps all the bad dreams away. It doesn’t fit me anymore, but I don’t want all the superpowers to go to waste. Do you think maybe you could look after it for me?”
Theo nods emphatically. “Yes,” he whispers. He looks up at him, his tiny face sure and determined. “I can do it, Chris.”
Or, Theo has nightmares. Chris works a hand-me-down shirt-shaped miracle.

Summary
Eddie opens his mouth.
I’ve spent a lot of my life checking boxes—
Buck reaches up and turns his hat around.
Backwards.
It’s nothing. It’s a casual, thoughtless adjustment, the brim swinging to the back, the front panel disappearing. The words disappear with it. And suddenly Buck is looking at him with his whole face open, chin slightly dipped, curls loose without the brim to redirect them, and the hat means something different backwards, it means something about the specific tilt of his jaw and the blue of his eyes, the reddish pink hue of his birthmark and the fact that he is looking at Eddie the way he always looks at Eddie, like Eddie is something he has decided to pay attention to above all other available options.
Eddie’s speech leaves his body entirely.
Fuck it.
He surges forward, cradles Buck’s face with both hands and kisses him.

Eddie tries to confesses his love to Buck, but a backwards hat leads to him getting fucked stupid instead, and love confessions
