Eddie’s heart stuttered in his chest as he heard Chris call for Buck and the silence that followed his gut-wrenching cry made Eddie want to kill every single man standing around them—starting with the man standing above him like his personal hell curated around his worst fears.
“Do you feel helpless?” Charlie asked as his eyebrows scrunched and his voice dropped in sympathy that was so painfully false it made Eddie’s gut turn.

“Eddie, listen—” Athena started but stopped when he ignored her.Eddie grabbed Charlie by the collar and started dragging him back to the shed where they’d hurt Buck—where they were planning to hurt him more just because Eddie loved him. That was all.
Eddie threw Charlie to the ground and he screeched holding his leg. He crouched in front of the man. “I had four bullets with your name on them.”
OR How far can they go to protect each other? Buck and Chris are taken right in front of Eddie's eyes, so it is only natural he hunts down the kidnappers and shows them the exact reason why you don't mess with Eddie Diaz and the two most important people in his life.

“So, if he’s not your boyfriend, does that mean he’s single?”
Eddie’s stomach churns at the question.
“Um, well—”
Tom cuts him off.
“Do you think he’d say yes if I asked him out?”
Eddie doesn't know why he does it. He just knows that the idea of this man, Tom, wanting to ask Buck out makes him feel like he's going to throw up, so before he can even think about it, he blurts out—
“Oh, sorry, man, I just meant that he’s my husband, not my boyfriend.”
or; When Buck and Eddie are in Nashville for the firefighter competition, Eddie accidentally tells one of the other firefighters that he and Buck are married. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Summary
Maddie’s eyebrows rise, and she looks past Buck to Eddie, the corners of her mouth curling upwards. “My kisses don’t work on Uncle Eddie,” she says, and if she thinks Buck misses the way she says it—Uncle Eddie—she’s sorely mistaken. He knows exactly what she’s doing.
And he realizes too late that that means he should probably be afraid.
Jee gasps, eyes going wide. “What?” She asks breathlessly. “Then how will his ouchies get better?”
Maddie hums thoughtfully—performatively—before her eyes slowly slide over to Buck. He starts to shake his head, unsure exactly what she’s about to do but deeply aware that he’s not going to like it. “I have heard,” she says, leaning into her like she has a secret, “That best friend kisses are just as good as mommy kisses.” She tosses her hair over her shoulder and looks at Chimney. “And almost as strong as daddy kisses, too.”

Summary
Eddie lets himself break a little, now that the only thing that can keep him upright is here, breathing heavy against his neck. His stomach coils tight, and the heat from Buck warms Eddie up from the inside out. His arms comes around to Buck's shoulders, and he tugs him a little closer.
When he huffs a breath out against the top of Buck's shoulder, it comes out choked, and Buck whispers something against his neck before he repeats it, louder.
"Hey, it's okay. We're gonna find him."
Buck separates them, still holding both of his arms in a death grip, and Eddie looks into his eyes, seeing the fierce conviction behind them before he says it again.
"We're going to find him."
Eddie has to believe that. For himself. For his son.
And for Buck.
____________________________Or, Chris gets kidnapped. Eddie and Buck fight against the odds and themselves to find him.
