He didn’t know what worse would be, (he was pretty sure he had arrived at rock bottom), but he was alive and that was something.

Tommy is just a hardworking guy trying to make ends meet which became especially difficult after his roommate lost his job. Life had never been kind to him though and when he gets accidentally mixed up in something he shouldn't, desperation pushes him to make a deal he shouldn't have.

Summary
The man is wrapped in a blanket that was likely white at one point but is now smeared with dirt and grass stains. His hair, too, is dirty. Like he’s been sleeping on the ground for more than just one night.
Kenji tiptoes over to him. He rolls his shoulder, then kneels down beside the man and pokes him. “Um, sir, are you okay?”
The man doesn’t respond.
Kenji pokes him harder, putting a little extra strength into it with the help of his ability. The man rolls from his side over onto his stomach, groaning.
Kenji breathes out a sigh of relief. That means he’s not dead, at least.
“Are you—” he whistles. “Are you hurt?”
“Twelve seconds,” the man responds, still facedown in the dirt. “Then, I’m going kill you.”

THIS WAS AMAZING AND 100% WORTH THE PAIN.
The grief is written to make you feel it, and it's so real. So upsetting. And yet I couldn't stop. It's so beautifully tragic, and even if you take breaks to cry or just to feel and grieve, it's worth it to read something so gorgeous. If I could, I'd eat this fic. It means so much to me now. I just hope Jaiden can be a part of Richarlyson's life now, and maybe teach him to preen.

Reading her cuddle her best friend and his husband almost made me cry. I've had to many instances where I was pushed close to crying, and yet I couldn't. That's more for irl reasons, tho.
