It’s the first time anyone in the family has seen Drake in months, as far as Damian knows. He’s not sure what he was expecting when Drake showed his face again, but it wasn’t this: toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, wearing a too-large hoodie, rooting through the fridge at two in the morning in the Kents’ farmhouse. He looks like a mess. He looks more relaxed than Damian’s ever seen him.
(Tim drops off the face of the earth, leaving a Drake-sized hole in the family. Damian’s the last person anyone would have expected to fix it.)

“You’re all being ridiculous.” He says, spinning around on his stool. “Nobody’s doing that.”“You don’t think people have imagined you when they’re jerking it?” Kon flings his arm around Tim’s shoulder and shovels a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
“No, I don’t.” It’s simple, concise, and followed quickly by an elbow jamming into Kon’s ribs. He ignores it.
“Then I’ve got you, dude, my next one goes out to you.”

Tim pulled away from the kiss to catch his breath, still panting from the fight, but feeling his cheeks darken from all the excitement. He smiled and released his grip of Kon’s curls to gently comb his fingers through his hair and feel Kon melt, almost going limp under his touch. He was so easy to melt into a small little puddle, just the right amount of kisses and pets and he’d be pliant and easy for Tim to handle.
But Tim wondered how easily he could rile him up.
