Really, it would have been completely fine. Great, even! Sol knew people with absolutely dogshit roommate situations, so Jane was perfect.

They don’t know the way he’ll smooth down her hair so it doesn’t tangle up against the pillow, the way he’ll kiss her forehead for a heartbeat too long once he’s sure she’s asleep.
