“Dad–” Kon choked out, blood pouring out of his mouth and rolling down his chin, pooling in the hollow of this throat, endlessly dark. His left hand dragged on the concrete to reach for Clark’s foot.
Clark held his hand. “Don’t move. Don’t move, Kon-El, I’m right here. Don’t move. Don’t try to talk.”
Kon is shot with a Kryptonite-coated bullet. Clark and the rest of their family reel and recover.

This was by far the best medically saturated fic I have ever read in my 9 years of fic reading. It even taught me a thing or two about how the body heals so bonus educational stuff.
Originally came here for TimKon but I left with the softest son and dad bonding moments to remember forever.

A lot of people tell Tim that he looks just like his mother.
They share the same eye color and shape, often cold and calculating. The same sharp smiles and ghostly pale skin, and the same, lean body frames that could almost be described as delicate.
One last thing they have in common is an orange pill bottle.
The only difference is the name.

This is now going to be one of my new personal favourites. I found a lot of comfort and grief in this one.
It really showed the final stages on someone going through depression- to suicidal-. Even the feeling before an attempt where they feel significantly better. That got me.
